The pod comment is also known as the volume label, and some programs allow you to view and/or edit it while others do not.
A comment might be:
Edit it with Edit → Edit Comment. Type the text you want and click OK. Like every other change, it is not written until you save — and if the comment is the only thing you changed, saving writes exactly those 80 bytes and nothing else.
Only the maker should change a pod's comment. It is the same caution as podzipping: an edited track pod can trigger the Different Version message in multiplayer.
