About C-Pod

Pronounced See-POD.

The original was written by CH_2005, in Visual Basic, as a program to:

• view the contents of a pod file
• extract the files you want
• edit and convert some file formats
• make and edit pod files

That list still describes it. C-Pod26 is a rebuild of that program, not a different one with the same name — the formats it reads, the conventions it follows and most of what it does are CH_2005's design, and the parts that changed are documented as changes rather than quietly replaced. The original C-Pod site stays online for the same reason.

Installing it

Extract the zip to a folder of your choice and run C-POD26.exe. There is no installer and nothing is written outside your profile; Preferences will add a Desktop, Send To or Start Menu shortcut if you want one.

The one thing worth doing before anything else is Game → Locate MTM2 Folder, which is what lets it resolve art across your installed pods the way the game does.
