Oh my God! That's cool!
And he's using an 8-string electric guitar for that! I also have an 8-string and I love mine. :D

Heh, I have been planning to do guitar covers of the MTM1/MTM2/MTM64 songs sometime.
I'll post a topic of that within the future when I can get to that.

That would be great! Lots of great stuff to cover. Always loved the rock and metal tracks from MTM1/2. And the background song from Yucatan Adventure/Arizona/Highlands  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqYxr7UT9Xs

It's a shame that the existence of MTM guitar covers are quite super rare.
That's crime! Lol. XD

And what makes it more complicated is there's no guitar tabs for these songs, sooo I'll have to learn them by ear and of course, make the guitar tabs, to which I'll try my best.
I'll happily share the tabs in the future~

I do love all the soundtracks in the MTM games!
But I do have a handful of my favorite songs from the MTM games that I'd most likely want to cover first on guitar. ;)

My favorite MTM songs list

MTM1 Track 1
MTM1 Track 2
MTM2 Track 2
MTM1 Track 3 (AKA the MTM1 intro)
MTM2 Track 5
MTM2 Track 9
that unnamed song from Winding Way I think (I just call it "Metal Crush" for now. I would love to know the actual name of that song!)
the splash screen theme from MTM2

Those are my jam!

EDIT** I was wrong about the names, apparently the Windows Media Player gave me incorrect names as it thought they were from Van Morrison and Slade, ROFL!

Where did you get these names? Here at MTMG we use different music track names (couldn't find the link, but they're based on a TRI readme file in which they listed all the CD music tracks and its names)

How come the songs in MTM1 sounds nothing like their original counterparts since these songs are by Van Morrison?
As a musician, that has always bugged me when I have listened to the original and the MTM versions to compare once, and they totally don't sound recognizable from each other.

Oh well, they're still awesome tho! Lol.

Van morrison? weren't these songs composed by Kyle Richards and Tom Wedge @ TRI? Are they just covers?

What I think happened is your computer tried to identify the tracks, couldn't, and ended up choosing a random Van Morrison album to refer to them as. That happened to me in the past with the MTM2 soundtrack, where my computer decided that it was a Slade album, which it obviously isn't. I think iTunes has something to do with it.

Yeah, when I'd play my MTM1 cd as audio my pc identified it as a Men At Work album for some reason

I swear I'm not making it up. XD
I know their names because I still got their game discs, and when I have them in the CD drive on my Windows 7 laptop, the Windows Media Player revealed their song names and even the artist to me!

Here's the screenshots from my Windows Media Player!

That's what it showed me.

So my game discs are just telling me they're Van Morrison and Slade.
... Alright then! OK, now I have a feeling it's all incorrect. It CAN'T be right...

Wow, that explains it!
Well crap no wonder they sound nothing alike when I compared them! Guess I never knew they were wrong the whole time.
Oh well, you live and learn every day. I knew they sounded nothing like those songs, looks like I was only right about that there, except for the song names.

Lol WTF laptop? XD Giving me incorrect names in WMP when I am listening to music? Too funny!
Well then, disregard what I said about their names everyone!

EDIT** I took out the incorrect names! X3

Here are the real names for the MTM1 CD audio tracks, taken from the tracked 1.1 FAQ:
Code:
These are the music types and names for the tracks on the CD.

Type of Music                   Names floating around TRI
=============                 =========================
2. Rock 1                               2. Tuf-guys
3. Rock 2                               3. Weazel
4. Grunge                               4. Nutbuster
5. Tread (techno)                       5. Tread
6. Head (techno)                        6. Mecca-X
7. Slam (techno)                        7. Kingstud
8. Country 1                    8. Lonestar
9. Country 2                    9. Ghost T.
10. Surf                                10. Deep-6
11. Funk                                11. Squealer
12. Soul                                12. Perco
13. Rap                         13. OG-Truck

the stock MOD FastTracker music found on the game files includes 2 songs not found on the CD

-HO-DOWN
-METAL

For mtm2, I think Phin made those names up I'm not sure, I remember seeing those on MTMG (couldn't find the page) and uploading those names to the CDDB. Now they are all on youtube.

2 Farm Road
3 Impersonation
4 Graveyard
5 Funk Rock
6 Just Heavy
7 Thrash
8 Trippy
9 Jungle
10 Pulp Fictionish

the only song not included in the CD is "splash", which is found only on music.pod. Probably, "Thrash" was supposed to be the splash screen-main menu song but TRI/MS changed their mind at some point.

Yeah, Kmaster. Those names you listed off are right for sure, I'm used to seeing those names they're known as on the web and the pod files.
OK I am positive none of the songs are remixes based off any songs.

Funny that my game discs told me the wrong names and I never knew they were wrong for years until yesterday, lol, that's ok.
At least I don't have to worry about using the wrong names whenever I make guitar cover videos of them, so that gives me relief, I'll just use the names you listed off for my future MTM guitar covers since that's what they're most known for.

But still, any of the songs are interesting to cover!
I hope there's more musicians out there that's fans of the MTM games that would do covers of those songs sometime, I know I am one of them that wants to do that some day.

Anyway, have a great day everyone, much blessings and keep trucking as usual.
