The only downside with that is binedit doesn't import 3ds texture coords unless you map with milkshape first then swap the 3ds to bin in zmodeler, then open in binedit. I do like milkshape tho, good stuff.

vertices are simply tie down points for faces. open a model with binedit and play around with the functions, get familiar. you'll be a pro in no time at all. it only seems hard and complicated untill you do that for a few hours.
