 Post subject: Cant go into game

A long time mtm2 player Robbie is having problems racing all of a sudden. Everything is fine for him until everyone readys up and go into game. he is left back at the multi screen. He never had this problem before and it just started recently. He said he didnt change anything on his computer. any ideas?

could be a podded track, i had similar problems on my windows 95 with one of those fix pods.
could be a random thing
have him try to reinstall mtm2 (make a copy of the "pod.ini" file before hand to avoid the task of repodding everything)

No you didn't.

Very unlikely.


There is almost never a reason to reinstall mtm 1/2. And all pod mounting problems can be solved with cowpod.

Anyway, does the game work offline? And if it does, then it's a firewall problem. Either on his computer, in his router, or through his isp. But no ifs ands buts or nothing, if the game works offline then it's a firewall problem online.

The fix pods would cause colour matching errors in 256 and 16 bit colour mode especially when running mtm1 tracks in mtm2, especially the backgrounds that get "fixed" and a random error could be like those cannot evnironment model errors that just show up randomly making you have to restart mtm2. if it runs offline then its definitly a firewall problem.

i am havin a problem as well, i have disabled all popup blockers and the windows firewall, i opened those ports, ive turned on dmx, i got spi firewall with my router i dont know if i got to disable that, what else do i have to do
