Tr?cks Wont Update
Tr?cks Wont Update
First time I have ever run into this problem. A few days ago I added a track and truck with Cowpod, everything worked fine. Now it seems that whatever I try to add a truck or track it updates the Pod.ini file but it doesn't show up in the game and if I remove anything from the other day it still shows in the game. Is there a file that I am overlooking somewhere?

Re: Tr?cks Wont Update
That's strange. I don't recall using Cowpod at all since I preferred to use Notepad on Windows XP to edit the pod.ini file itself (same with 4x4 Evolution and 4x4 Evo 2), so I'm not sure why these things happen.
Re: Tr?cks Wont Update
I have no clue what is going on. For some reason no matter how I try to add or remove tr?cks, when I start the game it keeps showing the same tr?cks that I added a while ago, its not updating.

Re: Tr?cks Wont Update
Is the game installed in Program Files? If so, whatever program you are using for podding must be run as administrator - otherwise it will be allowed to "change" POD.INI but the file won't actually be changed.
Re: Tr?cks Wont Update
Nevermind, I figured it out. Seems Cowpod was the reason. Even if I changed the Pod.ini file with notepad and not Cowpod it wouldn't work.
I removed Cowpod and installed Podini and it works fine now.

Re: Tr?cks Wont Update
There is an issue with cowpod and the updated game versions (last one it works with is comm patch #2). Basically I need to update cowpod and make it compatible with every single release which I have not done so. I wasn't planning on having such a long beta version but life got in the way and mtm is in the background for now as I try to get things in order.
So yes temporarily one has to use pod.ini. The next time I release a bigger game version I will make cowpod compatible with it.
