Can you believe it!?

Post by 4x4EvolutionFan »

Hi everyone,

While I was browsing on Amazon, I recently discovered a listing for Monster Truck Madness 2, and guess what? Two new copies are priced over $2,100!!

The other listing with its new copies cost a whole lot less than that, and considering how popular this old game still is, I thought I would post a thread about it. Here's a link to the particular listing:

I found a copy of MTM2 in Spanish(VERY RARE) and is about 30 bucks.

Is really weird if it is collectible or not

THAT'S funny. Dude we might could make some money off this game...but who would actually buy it? That's the problem. I still have my original pink MTM2 disc, computer can read the entire disc just fine if it wanted to install the FULL installation, or copy all the files to PC, or make an ISO file out of the disc, but, I don't have my cd case for it or the mtm2 box it came in..just the disc. That's what I could give to Amazon and they could sell as "Used" for say.. $500, or something. Or, I could make copies of my disc and give to amazon, who knows. Not sure they'd take copies though.

In Spanish? I know there's a German version somewhere, but an official Spanish version? Where did you found it?

Heh, I would buy it. But it is listed in Mexico's Mercado Libre. I don't know if the seller ships internationally.

Doubt anyone is ever gonna pay 2100 for the game.

Though I did spend 80 bucks on getting my original copy from someone in Las Vegas.

Me neither. The point of this topic is, $2,100 is extremely ridiculous for a really old PC game like this.

Eighty dollars is quite a lot for a nineteen-year-old PC game, but I'm glad you found a bargain.

Why would you do that? I've had the entire CD backed up on hard disk since I got the game when I was 11 hehe, I would have gladly uploaded it to you via FTP server..setup works perfectly the disc isn't scratched, disc is pink, still have it, still works..setup on hard disk still works completely fine.. (except for this recent windows 10 installation I was doubting, until someone said "you have to enable directplay in the windows features).

Yeah..that's kinda like a predicament I've been in for a while in now. I've got a friend I've literally known in real life, since we were like 4 or 5. Growing up, I used to go over to his house and we played on his grandpa's computer, haha his grandpa always yelled at me "don't mess up my computer!" It was a good old Pentium 1. Anyway my friend is the one who originally introduced to MTM or MTM2, when we were kids. We played with each other online a couple/few times a week with the modems, phone numbers..but now, it's been so long, I've been trying to get him to come back to the game. I even told him MTM2 has been like overhauled, with the beta and stuff, and 1080p graphics. He still won't play with us, he's done with this game and surprised I still play. Oh well, he sticks to his Steam games though, he has like 100 games on Steam. His preference is FPS.
