worked with me with PSP4, PSP5, PSP6, ACDsee, Picaview and many other shareware/trial/time limit programs.

"I was quoting to you the explanation given to me by the lead programmer of evo and mtm. TRI does not want to release beta programs, and in the past they have actively sought to shut down sites that posted them for download. If they've changed their policy I haven't heard about it."
Dam, I guess we can only make reps of the trucks in the pics, and also get this site accepting MTM1 trucks and tracks again -_- .
Like me, there are loads of people who prefer MTM1 to MTM2, because MTM2 lacks the fun of the original.

Making things is what mtm is all about. You guys can probably do a better job than the original stock trucks anyway.
> also get this site accepting MTM1 trucks and tracks again
Tracks: http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?year=1997
Trucks: http://mtm2.com/~truckorama/
Kmaster's truck has an error. I don't remember if that's the game or if he's got something wrong. I "think" mtm1 trucks work fine in mtm2, in which case we've always accepted mtm1 things. In fact, the track uploader has an option to mark a new track as mtm1 type and the same thing could easily be put into the truck uploader. When I see enough demand, we'll see what we can do.

Rightnow i'm kinda busy, i have tons of unfinished proyects/tracks, but i'm really interested to make a "MTM1 revival", or better, a "MetalCrush revival".

Doing some google searchs, I found a very rare MTM1 beta warez review from 1996
Monster Truck Madness Beta 2 [21/21]

Not bad. It's definately a beta, still swaps and pauses right in the middle
of gameplay, along with a couple audio glitches thrown in for good measure,
and it installed its own directX2 drivers without asking (quite unlike MS).
I'll like it a lot better once the final comes out. I do have to say that the
synth muzak flippin rocks though and the grafix are a lot better than
average. This will prolly be one of those "unbelievable directX games" I
talked about a couple weeks ago. As far as the juice of the game, you can
pick one out of about 10 of the most popular monster trucks to race with.
Theres 4 different types of races too. Drag (side by side car crush), Rally
(offroad enduro type), Circuit, and Tournament. You can set up suspension,
gearbox, and tires on your truck for the different types of tracks/races.
Don't have more than 4 other trucks racing against you when you first start
out tho, the traffic kinda sucks. There's many different resolutions,
textures, and toggles to optimize video/processor speed, as well as audio,
and joy/keybd setup. As a little side note, from what I gather about the help
files included, MS is planning on devoting a whole webpage to this game, with
possible tournament type netgames once the game goes final. This one will
definately be worth checking out!
** Points: 74 Some points off cuz it's a beta and has a couple probs.
And I found a guy who's selling the MTM2 beta CD

He says "Monster Truck Madness 2 - Beta/Demo CD", so it may just be the ordinary old demo (which always seemed to be a different build to the retail game, since it wouldn't take addons made for the full game).Kmaster wrote:And I found a guy who's selling the MTM2 beta CD

As many mtm2 beta's that floated around ICQ prior to the retail release, someone still has it. I *might* even have it on one of my hard drives sitting in my closet, no promises though.
The mtm2 beta sucked anyway. Crappy lighting, bland tracks, other than pure nostalga (sp, I know) It wouldn't be worth installing.

With a bit of determination and creativity the "demo" can be patched into the full game.Drive2Survive wrote: it may just be the ordinary old demo (which always seemed to be a different build to the retail game, since it wouldn't take addons made for the full game).

I'm with Garret, the "beta" isn't worth the trouble except as a curiosity.

They can be found on The Patriot ;)

MTM1 version.

MTM2 version.

I think the beta is just set to ignore all trk and sit files except tpark.sit and the two (bigfoot and caroline crusher? or was that mtm1demo? - right mtm2 was stinger any other truck?). Anyhow; if u just take a normal mtm2 addon (nonpodzipped) and change the sit to tpark.sit it'll run in the demo version.
What is the way of patching the demo to the full version?

Yea Torture Pit didn't make it's intro until the final beta release. I'm still searching hard drive's, but don't get any hopes up. If an 850 meg hard drive dated 1/10/00 doesn't have it, then I don't have it anymore. I remember it was about 62 1.11 meg .rar files if anyone comes across it.
Again... it really sucked... there definitly weren't any cool or hidden gems, we ripped those betas apart searching for em too.
