Rookie track : a track by a person who has never made a track before.
The idea here is to encourage everybody who has never made a track to try it. We expect nothing over and above traxx school - which will take the average person one night to finish. The standards are very relaxed so there's no need to be shy. Just about every track maker who's ever made a track has done traxx school. It's
the place to begin.
Of course, our hope is that once you see how a track is made, you will continue to do more, even after the expo. But if you don't, that's okay too. The point is to try, have a bit of fun, share your effort with everybody, and to do it in a non-critical atmosphere where help and support are sought after reponses.
For this category, help, if you need it,
will be provided, short of doing it for you. Re-uploads
will be allowed, if you want to update your entry. And if you find that one night of work doesn't satisfy the track making instinct in you, then by all means move on to something more extended. It
will be accepted in place of your traxx school effort.
The
MTMG Track Downloads have three tracks marked as Traxx School. Be sure to check them out if you need ideas. If you take advantage of all the time available between now and the closing date, it's quite possible to create exceptional things.
A readme.txt file is optional.
If you think this describes you, then give it a whirl. We look forward to what you can do.
