>> I got 95% of everything back.

Well that's good news. I hate hard drive crashes.

I got your mushroom cloud e-mail back on the 22nd and sent a reply shortly after that.

I've always had trouble with your e-mail address. Often it comes back undeliverable, and just as often I hear nothing back.

As for the memory issues, what OS are you using. Sounds like there's a memory leak someplace. Have you done all the windows updates yet?

p.s. I had a shot at fixin' your sig link. Give it a try.

I don't know winME. I ran and hid when it came out. I also don't know Norton's System Works 2001. Win98 used to have a great little system monitor thing but it's not in winXP and I have no idea what's in winME. We want to find out the memory stats: total, available, free, swap file, and the all-important disk cache (which can be controled in the system.ini file if winME has one). What happens if you use a different other player than Media Player? The idea is to monitor memory usage and note what program triggers the climb; then figure out how to counter it.

I am running WinME. Works very smooth and i don't have a single problem with it. But it's custom installed so it didn't came optimized from any company.

I actually like Win ME. The only thing i'd change it for is Win 98SE.
