Hey monster. Yeah, well, depends on what are you looking for. Are you looking for a quick response gaming monitor, or good image quality? You have to pick one sadly. If you want both prepare to waste a hundred bucks.
First thing I read is... no displayport?
From what I have read, HDMI 1.4 spec doesn't really define 144hz support, but it is technically feasible tho. So I guess you gonna have to wait and see how it goes.
I only use displayport now, I feel it is a way more robust standard.
I bought a cheap MSI Optix G24C (OPTIXG24C) a year ago and I think it sucked. Sure it has 144hz, but VA panels sucks. I had a cheaper 1080p@60hz IPS LG and colors looked way better. So I tend to avoid TN or VA panels.
Integrated speakers are nice. Sure you might have your own 5.1 speakers but devices like consoles, raspberry pi, etc. send all audio thru HDMI. not to mention digital audio is always better, so it is always nice to have those in any case. My MSI didnt, they didnt even fit a 3.5 jack on it, bummer, couldn't use my PS4 on it (had to stream audio thru my controllers
)
I feel 21.5 is getting small but thats just me. So no, I wouldn't say it was a bad deal, but it is not the "greatest" either
