MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Trucks
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Using Direct3D or 3dfx? I've been using 3dfx to play and haven't had that happen.

I'm using Direct3D, also I forgot to say that after that bug started, the game was not estable. My fps were dropping to 10/20 fps(stuttering) most of the time.Fila wrote:Using Direct3D or 3dfx? I've been using 3dfx to play and haven't had that happen.

I'll try to rumble in Direct3D and see. Haven't had any issues with 3dfx.
You're using dgVoodoo right?

Strange..you using a new nvidia driver? Like a beta?
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
If there's one thing I kinda want to see in the future is the ability to play custom music without the use of a CD, maybe something like a GTA-esque user track player or something similar like that where you basically put MP3s in a folder and just play any custom song from that source.
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Hey, just a thought, would it be possible to make rumbles playable offline with computer trucks like in the N64 version or would that require coding an entirely new game mode?

Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
You can sort of do that now using cheats. But the rumble would just be the trucks trying to get to a single checkpoint on the map, or slowly circling the hyper cube. It wouldn't really be much fun.PM Customs wrote:Hey, just a thought, would it be possible to make rumbles playable offline with computer trucks like in the N64 version or would that require coding an entirely new game mode?

You'd have to convert to wave files. But should be possible, especially if the strange 8 bit mono 11khz restriction is remove.SparkTB11 wrote:If there's one thing I kinda want to see in the future is the ability to play custom music without the use of a CD, maybe something like a GTA-esque user track player or something similar like that where you basically put MP3s in a folder and just play any custom song from that source.

Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
That's what I thought. Was just wondering. I wonder if the MTM64 and MTM2 use a similar or identical coding language? If possible, maybe the code could be ripped and retrofitted but that's just a crazy thought, I wouldn't expect anyone to actually be crazy enough to try that. It would require AI coding which is not present in the current source code. They are made to follow the lines and that's it.PM Customs wrote:Hey, just a thought, would it be possible to make rumbles playable offline with computer trucks like in the N64 version or would that require coding an entirely new game mode?
The mp3 thing is something that I can, slowly, look into it.
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Late to the party, as usual, but I just installed the new community patch with Cale's HD trucks. Two words: freakin' awesome! To say "great job, fellas" falls well short of paying a proper tribute to the end result. For whatever it's worth, I for one definitely admire and appreciate the time & effort you guys put into making this game even better, keeping it alive - love it! Thanks again!!

Were you running in software renderer? I have been able to replicate this but only when using software renderer to play a game.monsterextremo1199 wrote:Is this normal after a rumble?

As I remember, I was using D3D with dgVoodoo, but after that bug, the game started the next rumble in software(like windowed).
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Is there a trick to getting it to launch?
I just get this error
The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll
Running windows 11.
NVM got it, just needed freshened up version of dgvoodoo. Seems impossible to get full screen mode anymore though.

Did you try running in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2? That usually fixes full screen errors for me. Then I can go back to turning compatibility off again once full screen works once.
I keep my game on an external drive and every time I use a different PC I have to go through this compatibility loop.

I went through all of them but I can certainly try again.OG_RuDeE wrote:Did you try running in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2? That usually fixes full screen errors for me. Then I can go back to turning compatibility off again once full screen works once.

Also tried though wine and proton but no luck.

Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Proper full screen still works for me when using the 3dfx option. When using direct3d I get the menu bar hanging around. That's because they changed something in the directx code and won't recognize the old input of hiding the menu bar.
Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Yeah I still get message saying unable to switch to full screen mode. Using 1024 x 768 3dfx with latest dgvoodoo and the 2.54 version. Neither worked

Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck
Ok Got it.
First, had to dump community patch
Then, had to use dgvoodoo 254, the directX one. The 3dfx didn't work.
With that combo and no compatibility set, it started working, full screen, with no flickering menu.
Finally!
