I dunno why, but I've been messing with
DTR Sprint Cars, and I paint my own cars...

why I dunno, but, I re-installed my MTM2 stuff...

Let's just see what the ol' man can do, I dug up a few projects I had stashed away, I like what I see so far.

BTW, Phin and Mal, we gotta talk. On both yer guys Utilities pages, you have a bad link. Your Texture Replacer, is the Palette Master, for both the texture replacer and palette master. I have the Texture Replacer on CD, let me know when ya wanna up-date, you've both been like that for years, lemme fix it, please.

Some of us old farts still use that stuff.

Looks like the replacer from here... at least that's how he packed it way back when. But it won't install on my xp machine. Either way, you can get most of mdmre's utilities together here... unzipped and without the installer.

I tried yers and mals earlier, they're labeled different, but they are both the same Palette Master, Im glad I saved that stuff. But dl and try to install the MTMRE pal master , and then do the same with the texture replacer, they're the same programs on both yer sites.

I can get ya the right one...

Ok, tried a different set up and installed the support files, palette master, replacer and winpod. They look okay to me.

Support files - mtmsupport.zip
GAUGE.VBX
MCI.VBX
SPIN.VBX
THREED.VBX
VBRUN300.DLL

Palette Master - mtmpal.zip
MTMPAL.EXE
MTMPMSTR.EXE
PALCONV.EXE
PALSEL.EXE

Bin Texture Replacer - mtmbrpl.zip
MTMBRPL.EXE
MTMBRPL.TXT

If you like, send me your version and I'll compare, or at least upload to the same spot so it doesn't get lost.

Oh, just thought of something. All mdmre's tools have the same setupmtm.exe file name. Is it possible you've over-written the texture replacer exe with the palette master exe without realizing it? I mean, I don't know... I'm just guessing here.

Nope, I deleted the setupmtm.exe each time, and when I dl"d each file, they were both 115 kb, texture replacer should be like 36k or something, they were the same file. I had this same problem a few years ago, dunno why.

I ended up finding the replacer from an old site that is now gone, but they had utilities at the time, and had it. I had mine saved on a cd, so Im good, but was just lettin ya know. Im prolly the only person that still uses such a thing, but I stick with what I know. Dunno if anyone else has the same problem.

I dunno, man, something weird.[pre] mtmbrpl.zip 62 KB mtmpal.zip 132 KB [/pre]Anyway, makes no difference what you use. If it works, that's fine.... and that's why we keep them around.
