I cannot stand the music from any band that formed after 1991.

There are some great stuff in the 80's, like old school Napalm Death's grindcore, Metallica's "ride the lighting", Minor Threat's hardcore punk or Slayer's "Reign in Blood", but there's cool stuff in the 90s too like Sepultura's "Arise" or DRI's "Definition". Something I completely hate from the 80s is hair metal or glam metal bands like Poison, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake make me sick.

Tool is one of the most talented, if not THE MOST talented band in the world. To brush them off as some nu metal band hurts my head. When a band sells out one of the most highly attended shows in 30 seconds, i think it's safe to say they should never be looked at as some nu metal band.

Say what you want, but there are hundreds of millions of people who will disagree with you. There are so many things wrong with that statement that i'm not even going to bother brushing on it. I'm really in a loss for words right now...

THe only tool ive ever heard was very boring, easily falls under light rock, which I can't stand in general, Hard rock I am fine with, metal, good, hardcore, meh, dont care for it.

as for Nickelback, I used to liek them, but after their first two albumns their singer just kept getting whiner and whiner till now he just souns like hes crying all the time. Which I really dislike. Seether sounds a bit like nickelback but the singer does a better job in Seether (I think anyways).

Please show me a metal tool song, that doesnt sound like nine inch nails (a band I hate almost as much as rage against the machine)

dude, tool is considered one of the most talented bands ever. The music they write is pure genius. The drummer comes up with insane beats, the singer has an incredible voice, and the band in general just flat out makes incredible music. I can respect you not liking them, but boarding is something they're not, you just need to know what you're listening to.

And yes, i hate nickelback as well.

slayer's a decent band

You can say Tool is talanted, and it could be true, I don't know, id say A7X is talented cause entire band sings and they sing so many different genres and make them all sound great. On the other hand, people that like Tool will probably hate A7X.
