>>I love monster jam, with out it, i don't think this sport would be nearly as popular and this game would probably be dead.

That's impossible, trust me, my first monster truck show was on June, I had never seen a MT show before, not even on TV, but I always have loved this game, since I was 10 years old, and many people from Southamerica that has never seen a MT show still love the game. The only thing that MJ has created is a huge draggers commuity, and that's about it, we don't have anything to be thankful. We don't owe nothing to Monster Jam. Absolutely nothing. I am thankful with people like Phin, D2S, Mal, SP, and we all know why.

Once again, that is your opinion as i stated and i don't agree with it, and the same goes for a lot of people because all you've shown is ignorance to what the sport is today.

These are real people working their butts off to put on a great show week in and week out, i would love to see you even try to come close to what they do in a monster truck. Freestyle is just a bonus, and while many of the less hardcore fans love freestyle more, racing is still the biggest part of monster jam. They even admit that they let the fans judge freestyle because it's for the fans, while racing is still professionally judged and i'm sure it will always remain that way. There is no set up either, there are different winners all the time. The only difference is that some have better equipment and more money than others.

Please stop talking like monster jam is just some kiddy sport with no talent involved, because technically speaking it takes a lot more talent today than it did back in the day and you're just blind if you don't see that. Just because monster jam wants to put on a show for the kids, doesn't mean they've neglected the older crowd, this is still a professional sport and will remain that way.

I am not talking about monster jam, I don't care about what they do at Monster Jam, What I completely disagree is that you said "if there were no Monster Jam, this game would probably be dead", which is, completely false.

It's pretty true, actually. there are a select few who aren't monster jam fans, but the majority of the people who play this game are monster jam fans. Search mtm2 on youtube and you will find almost all monster jam based tracks and trucks being used.

Once again, Dragging is not the only community that exist, Drag is not the only thing you can do with MTM2. And all those videos on youtube are made by draggers.

How does that justify that the mtm2 community would be dead? look at this board and then go look at the draggers board. i'm just being honest, the majority of this community are draggers.

That's all I wanted to know. Now I understand the kind of person you are. I'm not going to argue anymore. Let the community judge.

An honest one? it's just simple truth, the numbers speak for themselves. I'm not backing up either side, i'm just telling it how it is.

At least it's not a flaming war, debating/arguing happens all the time, nothing wrong with it unless things get out of control.

Well sorry but it is silly that trucks are just built to get destroyed.

Plus is saddening that so much time goes into building the trucks and then they just get wrecked up again in freestyle. Plus it's wasting money.

Monster trucking has just become motocross with 4X4s.

Nobody makes anything to be destroyed. And if it costs money, then what of it? It's not your money. The old school trucks took as much time and money to build as today's trucks... maybe more because each had to be built individually. There was no prefab, for lack of a better word, frames or molded bodies.

Who was the first person to use a monster truck to crush a car? Blame that guy, not today's trucks.

You can whine all day about monster jam ruining the sport, when in reality, it's just broadening it and you don't like where it's going.

This sport is just revolutionizing and you don't want to move on from the old school days

I won't make any comments about people digging in their heals and resisting change, but I will say you cannot stop the march of progress. Should bigfoot become involved with monster jam? Probably not. That doesn't make me a fan of one school or another. I think today's trucks are built stronger and safer than ever before. But! I don't like the "show," which has become very similar to wrestling. I've seen two monster truck shows, both ushra. The first was interesting because it was, after all, the first time. The second gave me a headache. The announcer was non-stop motor-mouth and just would not shut up. And they structure the shows gimmicky so the final freestyle is the climax of the program. That works for kids but it's insulting to anybody else. I will never go to another Monster Jam show, ever. That doesn't mean they should stop; it's just that I'm not a kid and don't relish being manipulated like one. No other shows come around here, so that pretty much wraps up that.

The game, on the other hand, is a nice creative outlet. I see no parallels between MJ and MTM2. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

Because topics like this are wrong. MTM2 has been built on creativity and the fact that anybody can do anything they like. Your topics state in no uncertain terms that something is wrong. Well, there is not. People don't like being accused of doing something wrong just because it's what they prefer. When that happens, there will always be somebody there to take exception.

saddly its the most active topic, people like to complain, fight argue, etc. I suspect this topic will be delete shortly though anyways. I don't know what rules cownap has but I am sure this topic is borderline on something...

Love your take on Monster Jam Phin because that's pretty much the truth about it. I still very much enjoy attending the shows however and keeping as up to date as possible. Believe your speaking of the Toronto shows in the old Skydome?

Kmaster would this be the venue you saw your show at?

Image

Believe a small group of trucks has been touring that area all summer. Tons of videos and pictures of it all over the net. What'd you think of the show?

Monster Jam's important in keeping things "noticeable" but if they were to pull out you'd still see plenty of shows. The world does not revolve around Monster Jam as much as some folks appear to think.
