The last MJ game wasn't bad. It was almost a cross of MTM2 and Flatout. 20 Trucks (some with duplicate bodies, just like MTM2), Circuit Races, Rally Races, and Stadium Racing. Sure, it was easy, but it was entertaining.

I would really like a true sim though.

easy? that games awfulness goes way beyond easy. it's almost like they were trying to make the most unrealistic physics and on top of that some of the ugliest stadiums/models i've ever seen on a next gen game.

the game was flat out garbage imo, but i'm really hoping they realized that from all the negative criticism the game got. even if they didn't admit it, i think they got the picture. i'm really hoping for the best, even if it's still not a full sim. hopefully we can have another mtm2 where you can drive realistically or just go crazy.

It's actually quite impressive what they did with that game considering in an interview they said it was made in 6 months! Hopefully this new one has more time in it.

wow, really? i had no idea they made it so fast, they must have just thrown a bunch of stuff from various games they made for the monster jam game. in that case, i'm even more optimistic about what we might see in round two.

Monster Jam was Activision's third biggest selling title in the last Christmas period only beaten out by Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero 3. No small feat. Especially when it was explained to us that the game was created; engine, assets and gold on multiple platforms in a measly 6 months. That's nothing short of very impressive indeed.

Yeah, including me hehe. Monster Jam, to me, is the world stage in monster truck racing. Whatever BIGFOOT does is boooooring lol [(-:]

I have the first Activision game on order and it'll get here this Friday. I know it's not the sim we've been waiting for, but it's still way better than any MJ game that's gone before. Not to mention it looks like hecka fun. :D

I've been a REAL monster truck fan for alittle over 20 years. Seeing what I see from the USHRA makes me sick :x . They sold out to everyone that is a REAL fan of monster trucks. They do not seem to care about they're fans unless you are a 5 year old. I hope the USHRA goes out of buisness. Monster jam is lame, grave digger and maximum destruction are lame. I used to Have respect for Dennis Anderson, but now I'm ashamed to have the same last name he has. All the Digger drivers are sell outs. I miss seeing Charlie in Excaliber, Gary in Carolina Crusher, Randy in Pure Adrenaline, and Paul in Just Showin Off. Ahh the good old days. If you are a REAL fan of Monster Truck racing and Freestyle check out some videos on Youtube of the MLMT. can't wait till they are on tv next year. I hope there rating put stake in Live Nations chest. plus the MLMT isn't staged racing and freestyle like Monster jam is.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the MLMT is over. Forget exactly when they made the announcement, but it was sometime early this year. They didn't have enough money to start a new season, or something like that.

I will agree with you on how the MLMT is genuine MT action, and it isn't staged. I really hope people make more reps of the MLMT tracks. Whoever came up with those crazy rally-x designs, jumps, and FS Obstacles deserves a lifetime supply of Beer.

How is anything staged? these are real drivers putting their blood and sweat into the buisness just trying to entertain everybody.

there are several grave diggers because fans want digger so why not put some drivers in them for different shows so everybody is happy? you can call dennis whatever you want, but in the end he is one of the best drivers of all time and you will never come close to anything he's accomplished in his life.

You can go like whatever you want, but to come in and bash something that has revolutionized the monster truck world and finally taken it over the top in terms of a fan base and entertainment is just plain ignorant. i would love to see you say that to some of the actual drivers... you would get smacked silly.

I got news for you man, I wouldn't get smacked silly by these drivers. Its some of these drivers who have told me like it is about the motorsport we worship. I could never do what Dennis does because I could never sell out to people. If you ever go to events that Dennis is at, he won't even say anything to you unless your a child. out of the drivers that I've met 99 percent will just hang out and talk to you. Dennis doen't care just aslong as he gets a paycheck. http://www.myrcmt.com/bd/showthread.php ... rucks+fake if you still think monster jam is real. check out this link.

Kid, think about it, there are so many things that could break and go wrong in these trucks, how could you possibly stage it? How can you stage something that is so unpredictable? I've gotten my picture taken with Dennis many times and he always talks to me and is nothing like you are saying, so all i can figure is that you don't say anything to him so he does the same to you. I don't know how you can call yourself a monster truck fan if you hate monster truck racing so much :?

It's just an opinion. There is no proof either way and even if there was, big deal ... so long as you enjoy it then who cares?

All pro sports are subject to corruption without exception. Just last month the Lakers lost to the Celtics in the finals and anyone in their right mind clearly saw all the shenanigan's going on with the ref's in beantown. I'm pretty sure I saw a ref take a roll of 20's from the Boston coach on numerous occasions.... but I love basketball and have followed the Lakers since 1972 because I like it. :)

now behave lol

i love monster trucks racing, but have just grown out of the whole monster jam series. I miss the Monsters of Destruction and the PENDA series. I have tried to talk to Dennis numorous times. Maybe its just me. He just seems to blow me off when I talk to him. Anyother driver like Jim Koeler or John Seasock are always willing to talk to the fans no matter how busy they are. I just miss the times when an accident was an accident, instead of hitting a jump wrong and purposly rolling the truck over.

go sit in a monster truck and drive it then.... exactly.

it probably seamed like he blew you off because he has the biggest fan base and can't make table talk with every one of them. guys like jim and john aren't nearly as popular so they can really interact with every fan. i personally don't really bother with big name drivers because i know they have enough people to deal with, lol.

From the link KidKrazy86 sent:

Quote:
it's not staged at all. it's a matter of dollars. the independents that go at the beginning of freestyle don't have the bucks to go destroy their trucks every weekend. the trucks that are owned by live nation and have fly in drivers - they just fly in, drive the thing into the ground, and go home. they don't have to worry about the repair bill, and in most cases, the work to get the truck ready for next week. that's why the fleet trucks can go so much harder at each show.

Exactly.

If you really think about, any true monster truck fan would buy a new Monster Jam game, no matter how unrealistic it really is. I'd say that most people buy the games because it is a monster truck game. There really isn't that many mt games compared to say like cars games. I have bought all the MJ games so far, even though none of them are perfect. And I probably will continue to.

KidKrazy, I met Dennis at the World FInals this year, the nicest guy I have ever met, I don't get where you come off saying he just does it for a paycheck. And no MJ event is ever staged, it wouldn't be a sport. I too will keep buying MJ games, but my only question is, why no Xbox 360, wasn't that one of the systems it sold the most for?

One thing that I would like to see is that it has like a story line to it, each truck has a different storyline, and you have to stay with that truck until you beat the game, and you can save money to but new engines, tires, new paint jobs, etc. I would also like to see more stadiums, and more racing styles.
