I'm looking for a nice looking metal railing. Something that can be used
in the city. I've looked in various tracks but so far no luck. Since you guys have more track knowledge maybe someone knows where I can find something I can use?

If that's not suitable, can you show us a picture of something you have in mind?

I couldn't find anything suitable on Malibu's scraps or on MTMG. I'm looking for something like this. http://www.tamko.com/Portals/0/images/h ... ailing.jpg

Um, will there be a lot of models in the same area? The reason I ask is that in order to make something suitable, it will help to know how detailed it needs to be. If there are a lot of other models around, then we should probably economize on requirements. If not many models, then we can get fancy.

Oh, how tall do you need it? Same height as a truck, or shorter or taller?

try this

<center><img src="http://mtm2.com/~forum/images/railingforroxxy.jpg" width="385" height="246"></center>

I'm not sure how smooth the color will be but try it and see.

Looks good Phin but it's to big. I'm always having trouble with the scale of things in Traxx. The railing is supposed to rail of a lane for pedestrians. I only realise now that the lane is far to wide for pedestrians but if I have to change that it will be a lot of work :?
Does it really matter that it's realistic anyway?

The railing has to cover about a 100 squares in Traxx (1 line) and than around the corner about 50...maybe that's way to much.

If you're using the model people from the download section, then yes it's probably a bit large. But 100 squares is nearly half the length of the terrain. If you want it that size, we can merge the model into sections about 10 squares each. I also included an open ended model so you could lay rails end to end if you wanted.

Would you say it's twice too big, or three times to big, or just a little too big?

Well I won't be using models of people so it doesn't matter anyway :)
About half the size would be ok and the open ended models are very useful. Thx

Took me a while but eventually we get there.

It includes the original files, plus the same size reduced by half, and I've assembled a rail 5 squares long (no post on the end in case you need to extend it further).
