This a teaser pic of, if not my latest, then certainly my most ambitious (some would say insane) project yet; a high-detail 100% scratch-built truck model that I have been documenting for the third tutorial on my
BINedit Resource website.
http://64.168.3.244/mtmbbs/uploads/falcau-preview.gifI finished the textures the other day apart from final tweaking, but I'm not gonna show you a textured model just yet. What I will tell you is that the whole truck body as shown is made up of 689 vertices and 772 faces, and that's not counting accessories I've built like the rollbar! To make it easier (yeah right) I built the one half of the truck and then mirrored it, but that in itself is no mean feat when you consider that one half took over 400 vertices! And the whole thing is mapped to 3 custom textures which I hand-drew.
I'm not going to reveal what it is just yet, but if you look closely, and combine all that close-lookingness with an ability to read my mind, you might be able to guess (it is a model of a real vehicle).
I can't tell you when it'll be done, as there's still a lot that needs sorting, but it is close. This is only the beginning, as I have big plans and lots of ideas for this thing. Time alone will tell if they all get realised.
Ta ta,
D2S
