So it took a lot of hours and a lot of careful planning. But we finally did it, on our original completion date, Mark, took it for a test drive, and the axle broke at about 30kph, the right rear tire bent the frame and actually went under the tractor forcing the tractor to turn left bending it farther until it was flat on the ground, at this point Mark was hanging off the left side to keep it up right. It was so far over those exhaust pipes hit the ground, then it shot to the right but he kept it up right. Sorry I didn't get a video of the crash. Anyways so over night we fixed it, and here it is. We have it goverened way down right now because we cannot change to a larger axle in time for its current parade apointment, but when we get it back we intend to sure up the frame and axle a bit.

Anyways below are pictures of our team, I'm the one that thought up the whole idea of a racing tractor, but I didn't actually do much more than point out problems with the design, like the small axle and weak frame, which they ignored me on. Anyways sorry the photos so large, they on my personal server so they gonna take a few to download. But the tractor dang pretty. I also have uploaded a video to youtube of its second lease on life as our rep drives off into the distance with it.

On the left is Mark, he built (rebuilt) the engine, pretty much constructed the whole thing. In the middle is Alvin again, on the right is my Dad, Gerry, he pretty much planned and executed it all, he also did the paint job, decals, pipes and finishing touches. He is also the one to re-enforce the axle after our first disaster yesterday.

Here is the youtube video

We had some problems starting the tractor, so skip ahead about 40 seconds if you don't wanna see the team trying to start it lol.

works for me heh, we got that thing running even better now, it was runnign a faulty coil b4 (you can hear the popping from the engine) so now its really peppy, too peppy infact, we looking for ways to slow it down a bit, including an even softer spring on the clutch.
