Uh oh, first thing I want to remind you is this:

<center>
<a href="http://cownap.com/~mtmg/folderoptions.shtml"><img src="http://cownap.com/~mtmg/pics/modelerror2.gif" width="386" border="0"></a>
</center>

If you look in the beta five pod you'll see none of the models have the bin file extension. I don't know if this has an effect on anything else but it's certainly not a good thing.

For now, check the txx I sent. It looks just about like your pictures on my computer. Hopefully this will put us in the right direction.

Well it's useless for me to look at the .txx if you have changed any of the lighting properties because my traxx always keeps my last lighting settings and applies them to each .txx that i open.

So tell me if you did any sort of lighting changes.

Well killing the shadows completely is not something i consider a step in the right direction.

I didn't kill them deliberately. Put them back.

And with no file extensions on the models, it's a miracle this runs at all.

Then what did you do to make the cp's be properly illuminated?

As expected, after sending the .txx to Phin he tried to destroy my track (turn sand and mud into dirt and make the CP to no collide).

Of course all his plans were thwarted when i continued the work from my original .txx file since i was suspecting foul play from mister Phineus here.

Anyway, i have sent him a version with the fixed .bin extensions and he said the track is bright enough for him now (still not what he prefers... as in no shadows :)) but he will live with it.

Hence i will release the track unless anyone has any objections in the following 3-4 hours.
I will turn the CP markers 180 so that they look more like an orange stick than a totem and the track will be released.

Not only does he not listen to a word anybody says, now he even taunts you by allowing you to actually fix things and then completely disregards your every effort.

Actually, I said "if that's the best you can do then I'll have to live with it."

> I will turn the CP markers 180 ...

While you're at it, set them to no collide (I'm trying cope but he's your team mate).

Why should i set them to no collide when they are a solid object? For those sticks at first you had a case to make them no collide instead of moveable but for these?

At least this way it will make people not miss checkpoints. If i set them to no collide racers will cut the checkpoint as much as possible and in a close race one just might miss it by either trying too hard to cut it or by being pushed away from it.

This way a sensible person will know he has to break if he is being pushed into that object.

LOL release the track, Fila. This beta test is already 2 pages too long. A fifth would down right unforgiveable. So please release the track, then take a break - you've earned it. :)

Ah, I just saw that you released it. Thank goodness lol.

Would have released it like 2 hours earlier if it wasn't for my pestering girlfriend :)

Yup, gonna take about 1 and a half months break now because filming for the movie starts than i am off on a cruiser for 12 days.

When i'll come back i have two more tracks in me.

I earned it, what's that supposed to mean? You forcing me into temporary retirement? :)
