Looks great Fila, I know that the darkness is a monitor problem on my part, so that can't be fixed for me. The only other problem I saw was that the backdrop kept disappearing.

Phin, Cope. You can retell what you think that needs to be done in the track if it doesn't fall in those 3 categories i wrote at the end of the other page :)

And if it doesn't include the mud sector to be made with full mud textures because i can't make it to look properly.

And Phin, no need to tell me about the lighting, we are trying to get that one fixed... at least to make the CP visible :)

I'll have a look hopefully tomorrow morning before I go to work, bud. :)

Edit: I'd look now, but I'm at work lol. I have 1.5 hours before leaving for my part-time job after I get home from this job.

Pirate's Bay by ZR1_DkriderX uses c98 markers, and I think his shark bay 2 uses weird looking coconut trees.

Or ask Onan what he's got up his sleeve.... he generally does well with backdrops.

I like the new markers.

they've seemed to have improved the lighting somehow.

No problem seeing those cp's Fila. Also, now that they are set to collide, people will learn that they better not try to cut the corners too much.

Looking good. [tu]

Ran it this morning - looks good. It's a small thing, but I still feel 6 huts clumped together by that dock is overkill, but otherwise once you get the cp's done this baby will be good to go.

Ok here it is.

I find the checkpoints to be a bit of an overkill but if they aren't visible now than i have no idea what to do :D

I tried the backdrop you posted there and i don't know about the contrast thing but it certainly kills the whole "open air" feeling the track has so i scrapped the idea.

I don't know. Everything in this track seems to fit so well except them checkpoint markers. They are like from a different galaxy.

I checked Shark Bay 2 and nope, he uses a "gate" style CP, no coconut trees.

Guys, try this version as well. It has different CP markers.
http://www.mtm2.com/~tracks/dl.cgi?dl=4721

I know this is a strain on dial-up users, to download two tracks that make up 9mb only for beta testing purposes, so please excuse me.

Personally i find the 2nd version markers a more fitting take. Please share me your opinions.

P.S. Do not delete 0.4 version so that people have time to download both versions and give their input which CP markers are better.

http://www.mtm2.com/~tracks/dl.cgi?dl=4720 banner type
http://www.mtm2.com/~tracks/dl.cgi?dl=4721 totem type

The totem type markers are better than the first things you had in there - tho not quite as visible as mal's. The banner ones show, I think, the lighting problem - how can all four sides be in the shadow? If you sent me (and mal, and wint) the txx I'd be glad to see what I probably can't do with it.

I don't have 4 sides in the shade.

However if i leave shadows at 25-30% and position the sun centrally then all four will be in the shade but the shadows on the hills will be gone (the sun is positioned on the south anyway).

And i don't want to take out the shadows because it looks so sterile without shadows generated from the trees and hills.

The totem poles fit much better than the banners do imo.

Yeah, I like the totem poles better, but the same time, I think bamboo would be an improvement on the poles. Or even plain ole wood, like what you see in Cayo Barrocho and KOM's Suicide MX. The ones in World's OGX Oasis wouldn't be bad either. Just thought I'd give you more stuff to think about lol.

Or i can turn the totems 180degrees and they would look like a simple wood instead of a totem thingie.

I don't know, those CP's from Cayo and KOM just don't do it for me and the ones from OGX i don't like (for this track).

Yes, all sides. I'll fiddle and see if I can figure anything out.
