Hi guys,

I know in the past people tried to build an MTM2-mod in Insane and that people are really looking forward to an MTM3 game.

Now, in the simracingworld there is a game specially designed for building mods. I never thought of this but last night I was browsing a forum and stumbled on a guy building a MonsterTruck mod for rFactor.

After looking further I even found posts of a guy who actually converted the MTM2 trucks to rFactor but ran into problems later on.

I believe that with your help this mod could be very good

- Here you see a screenshot of the MTM2 trucks converted to rFactor : http://users.pandora.be/riptor/monster5.jpg
- In this thread in the 1st post you see 2 more screenshot of that mod (also cockpit view screenie) :

- And this is the new Monstertruck mod being worked on: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=253134

I believe that with rFactor it is possible to create a better version of MTM2. Something with the same 'feel' but with beter sound, graphics, physics, ...

Yesterday I also tested an allready released mod with stadium-trucks to see how rFactor feels with cars on dirt and jumping around and it actually was fun. Here is a video of me driving a lap : http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 9293761444

Say that you want to beta-test or even help this guy out. I think he could need some help from experienced track/truck makers cause the graphics of the cancelled mod where much better then the new mod. And also the help of beta testers pounting out how the physics should be changed can be of great help. Or even help updating the physics yourself.

I remember seeing some shots of that earlier mod. Very cool! Unfortunately, my 4 year old comp would not be able to handle rFactor at the moment, but I will follow this one closely (I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade and buy rF, I know some people have been working on a CORR Mod, which would be awesome).

Wow, this looks great. I hope this mod continues to be worked on, because I really need an MT game with better physics, and Project Monster has stopped being worked on, and there have been no updates on MFR for ages. So RFactor could be the one...
