Yup, there is another hidden in the game called mtm2-fun.loc, that replaces most of the text strings with funny/sarcastic lines - "Skill" becomes "Ego" and so on (that one's pretty good and will probably keep you going for a while [:P]).

I'd assume that different language versions of the game (if there were any produced) would have loc files to handle the translations, that if you had them, you could use yourself. However I don't know of any others you can get off the top of my head, though making up your own loc files would be dead easy so someone's probably done it.

Edit: I searched the forums just out of interest.
All you could possibly want to know about loc files: http://forum.mtm2.com/viewtopic.php?t=4317
And apparently <a href="http://forum.mtm2.com/viewtopic.php?t=2708">Kmaster</a> and <a href="http://forum.mtm2.com/viewtopic.php?t=2504">Crashcart</a> made Spanish and French loc files respectively.

I made a French one but never released it. My French wasn't good enough to do all the phrases. :D

I made a new version of MTM2Spanish.loc, cause the old one as you can see here http://forum.mtm2.com/viewtopic.php?t=2708 really, really sucks. Way to literal translation. I'll send to Phineus this new version of MTM2Spanish.loc via email as soon as posible. :)

It's been a long while but I'm pretty sure fixmore4 has a fixed fun-loc. The stock one has a few errors in the code.

well, the new Spanish.loc has been send via email to Phin, i also made a translated version of Monster.exe [nyuk] and Traxx 1.5.12.exe (beta) [:P]

The only problem is that Cowpod only let you set the original MTM2.loc, the fun-loc and the pig-loc, not another loc, and Cowpod is a very nice tool that everyone (who is a mtm2er) has in his mtm2 folder. i think that cowpod should have the option "set a different loc file"

Nothing has come yet.

How would it know where to find it and what the file name is?

Browse to it, or type in the name yourself. Make it liek an advanced users option or something.

You (or the program) don't really have to. Here's my idea

(there's also a translated TRAXX, so check it out, i know that you will not understand, but give it a try)
