Actually, there are. However, if you insist, then the card is garbage and you should get a new one.

I don't know what to go back to then. The ATI 6.3's were the ones that screwed up the screensaver. Using the 6.5's now. (both sets are the Omega modded drivers that I've always used..)

If that's not ati, then maybe try factory reference drivers.

The guy uses files from several driver versions to fix some of the stability problems with their drivers.. He's been doing this a long time and I've always seen a performance increase and have seen several problems fixed after ATI (and he used to do Nvidia too) messed up.

Maybe submit a bug report to him. It's possible he doesn't know about this problem. Might get it fixed.

Through more testing.. it seems the card is overheating. I've seen drivers affect temps before, but I think I just got a crummy card. Guess I need to be looking for a heatsink for the card...

My video card is older than yours!

Heh.. I've sold my old tnt2.. and my 6600GT...my 9600XT and my voodoo banshee..

What am I running? a S3 Trio 32/64 PCI.

The newest drivers I've found for it are dated...
