Hi, I had just dropped in here after wondering if there was anything left to the old MTM community after I swung by the zone to see nothing left to the old rooms. Its good to see that there is still a community left after so many years. I can remember playing MTM 1 in the zone before MTM 2 came out. Racing with players such as Yeastman, KingDave, Badger, the NKA team, Alpine, DavDemBlues and EvilKarl. Those guys could fly around the track. The quality of tracks that people made for both games was insane, there is just too many to list. I tried my hand at making several tracks n trucks for both games, and used resources from the mtmg.
Again, good to see everyone

You'll be surprise of the quality of tracks some of the track maker acheived in the last couple of years.

Try a few tracks from Malibu 350, Phinneus, winterkill, Mat allum, OLD mumhra, BaDMuDDeR Demigod, Fila, Gutterboy, Hotshoe, ObeOne, PreACheR. I know i forgot to name a few bu geesh i cant name them all. You'll fall back in love with the game.

Thanks for the updates guys, I recognise some of those names from when I had played last online.. They were good then. I reinstalled MTM 2 today, and ran a piddly 44 on C98.. [td] , Looks like I have some practicin' to do. lol.

Again, thanks, and I hope to see you guys out there!!

edit I just got a new zone account and im on as _fastfoxgt_

also, I'm surprised to see the tracks I had made online back in the day are here!

Boondocks National Park
Seaside Run
Statesboro Hill
302boss's Smash O Rama (My very first attempt at a track)
I did a remake of the Smash O Rama, But I havent been able to find it in years.. It was a little more sparse and speed friendly.

I also did one with DavDemBlues called Calden Lake which was made for MTM2, as the others were made for MTM1. Last time I remembered they worked just fine in MTM 2

I remember when you guys released that track... we all ran it in a tourney shortly thereafter. I think it was Raids tourney but i'm not sure.

Anyway welcome back boss, hope you can stick around and race some. Check in on the weekly saturday fender bending / racing @ http://shadowprincess.com/tourneys/mtm2.html

Yeah, I can't remember whose tourney it was for, but i do remember we made a tourney edition which just had more scenery taken out. I likely can't make it for the saturday tournaments unfortunately because I work at 6pm every saturday (Atlantic Time) But basically around any other time of the week. Im just working on getting some tracks now.. any suggestions? Ive only got two so far.. Texas Hold 'Em and SilverRim Raceway

It's not often I get to say this, but yes there are lots of suggestions. On the track download page there is a sort option called 'bookmarks' which are lists of recommended tracks compiled by different people for various reasons, but most all of them will help you sift through the pile and find what you like. For example:

This is a collection of old and new stuff, most showing innovations of one kind or another.
http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?b=1

These will give a different look to the game because they were conversions from evo.
http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?b=8

Team favorites
http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?b=15
http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?b=20
http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?b=9

There are also several lists containing personal favorites as well as alternate lists for teams. You might find a bit of overlap between lists, though not much, but you won't find many bad tracks throughout the whole lot. Best of all, everything has trackshots, some of them have a few, so you know what you're looking at before downloading.

Im not hidden to those that are there everyday - they seen me go thru a phase where I would invent a new name out of boredom. Its quite entertaining to find one that isnt already taken. :P Eventually I ended up with the name AvrilFan because of a vehicle I made for a different game, and after that, I stick to Avril-related names like BonezTour2oo5. Im in the zone daily, just look for the most inventive name on the list - that'll be me. LOL

- Alpine

Oh if you looking for stuff to enhance your experience, my last effort was the biggest game make-over you can find, aided by ONaN for the truck make-overs... Look at that 2.1 Madness Project.

http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?sear ... t&track=on

20 replacement trucks for the mtm2 stockers and
20 fiberglass versions
6 fiberglass toyota racetrucks
10 community personal trucks packed with the
10 light-enhanced tracks, including

2.1 Alpine's Crazy Nights - 2:43.07 (1600 m/s)
2.1 Breakneck Ridge - 00:48.31 (1500 m/s)
2.1 Cerifiably Crazy - 4:30.11 (1700 m/s)
2.1 Crazy 98 Nights - 00:42.84 (1600 s/s)
2.1 dern! Who Cares? - 3:56.44 (1700 m/s)
2.1 EC-8s - 1:31.64 (1400 m/s)
2.1 Extremely Crazy - 3:10.77 (1600 m/s)
2.1 Hypercube - (600 s/s)
2.1 Undeniably Crazy - 4:13.54 (1500 m/s)
~Hyper Finale~2.1 - (700 s/s)

Yeah, light enhanced for night racing. :)
And the trucks, all fitted with wheels sporting 3D modeled tread which at 1st the game displayed like this http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/493/03 ... 0414bd.jpg
but after my 'tire wear' faded texture job, surprisingly, the game shows them like this Image
That truck is +ShadowPrincess' personal ride which sports what I call a 3-D wraparound paintscheme, 2D being wrapped around sides and tailgate, this as u see wraps over the bedcover as well :)

Ok, 'nuff of what I been up to. Hope to see u at the zone. I got the madness podded and ready for some night races ;)

Thanks again guys, Browsed through the lists, dang lotta familiar names. I had to get the track Vulture Peak. It was quite possibly one of my favorite tracks back in the day, we ran that track day n night just practicing for one of the winter tourney series. We (Team WAR) and NKA blew so much smoke at eachother.. and boy did we eat our words.. lol

claim jumping
hotshoe's trail
jdakjaunt
lapama
momentumx
Omou
oregon outback
quid pro quo

All good picks, Jump. jdak's jaunt and momentum x are both masterpieces of terrain work. And who could forget lupin - gotta turn up that music, tho, right Ashes?

And I don't know what it is, but for some reason I'm partial to the couple circuits that have been made so far this year.
