The reason why the txx file alone doesn't work is that you need the models and art from the new ramps. Extracting from the pod should have worked. If it didn't, check the new pod in the game to make sure the ramps show up. Then,

- close traxx
- reopen it again
- view pod file (from the file menu in traxx)
- extract the models and art again (from the edit menu in traxx)
- click for a new track (just to clear the screen)
- and lastly try the new txx file again

If that doesn't work, get him to re-send you the txx again. It "should" work if all the models and art are in the proper folders.

Something is still missing.

Gator, try this. Open the good txx, and write a new pod. Then zip the new pod and the txx together. Then repeat above.

I'm no track guru by no means , what I know these guys taught me . One question , Are you just clicking on the .txx to open it . That gives me a bad time . Open traxx first then open the .txx from the file menu .

If you already did that then ignore this . You never know what will fix your problem . I could swear that clicking the .txx has worked for me before but I could be wrong on that too .

You could also use Wint's seperate project folder . Paste a copy of traxx.exe in a new folder . Then exract all your files to that folder . Go into preferences and just put ART and MODELS with no paths , not even the path to that folder . Scince I found this , that's the only way I do it .

once again its not working. i made a separte traxx folder and tim sent me a working txx file, i viewed the pod, i extracted and opened a new one, then i went to open the new txx file he sent and the same result. he put cars and poles and more and that came fine, but its only the ramps he retextured thats messed up.

Maybe there's something up with the model. Have him upload here as a beta (pod and txx) so we can check it out. If you're worried about anybody having a look before it's ready, I'll turn it off right away.

Yep, here's the error.

<img src="http://mtm2.com/~forum/images/topic3957a.gif" width="180" height="217"></center>

And here's why. No bin file extensions.

Here's an explanation.

And here's the fix.

http://cownap.com/~mtmg/folderoptions.shtml

You'll have to take the models out, close traxx, open it back up and then put them back in again.

You don't have to delete the models or remake them. You just need to take them out of the track. Fix the folder options, and then put them back in the track.

Also. The beta version of traxx 1.5 fixes this problem so you don't need to worry about it for the next project.
