I've been working on a small track project that uses mostly 256x256 textures. However, I find that when I try to copy the large template into Traxx (4320x4320 pixels, GASP), it gives me an error that it can't find an image on the clipboard. When I copy only a small portion, it works.

Now, you're thinking, "why don't you just copy a little at a time?" The answer is that I tried doing that - however, when I laid them out on the track, I found that Traxx sliced them with the two-pixel overlap system used by 64x64 size textures.

Can anyone point me to a utility that will properly slice my template with an eight-pixel overlap?

4320 / 240 = 18

18 x 18 = 324

I believe rocketalces tells us the game only handles 64 large textures... so your composite is about five times too large, traxx beside the point. If you can get it down, we'll see what we can do to help you along.

When you finally get it down, just use wk's method. I'm not sure if anyone even does it that way anymore, but I find it to work and still do it on the rare occasions that I make textures.

Okay. The only real problem now is I can't find a way to slice it with an 8x8 overlap.

I'd use Edit, but I'd like to make this post known.

I've taken a look at this texture and found that the majority of the grid squares, in fact, will just be deleted. Instead of 16x16, I'd think the total would be under 10x10, because the only textures used are some transitions to black, a special texture, a grass texture, and the road template with 7x7 corners.
