Post subject: MFR - Updated graphics and physics....
PostPosted: Mon Apr 04, 2005 7:45 am
MTM3... improved physics is the main goal as well as updating graphics, no limits whatsoever, texture sizes upto whatever your graphic card supports. Multiple ground boxes. more then 512 objects (models). improved draw distance, new lighting engine. And other fixes to the MTM game such as hall of mirrors. the new file format will include all of the new stuff as well as support to import and convert old files to the new format, tools are in the process of being created and I plan to update the site more reguarlary as to the progress of the project. Evo stuff is slowly being backwards engineered, hopefully tracks will supported. Trucks (smf) are already supported. I for sure need to post more info on the site as too whats being added/supported and I will be doing that as the "game" progresses. So check back frequently and if you would like to beta test drop me a email and I will get back to you.

I do have a question about physics-will they be more monster truck-like (i.e. much better acceleration, proper lean in braking/accelerating/turning etc.) or MTM2 like?

Also, true 4-links this time?

So far this sounds really good and actually achievable...keep us updated.

I don't think you should be calling anything mtm3. And the list sounds impressive, but honestly it's considerably premature. Not to be the nay sayer but promise and realization are two very separate things.

More important is this line: drop me a email and I will get back to you.

Please either communicate in the forum, or communicate through email, or any way you like, but not both. We cannot allow a system of "haves" and "have nots" around here. I hope you understand.

 Post subject: MTM3.. sorry

I had typed up this post and then copied it missing the first half of the sentence saying it wasn't MTM3 but would be like it. no promises, I updated the site this morning giving more in depth look at what has been done and what needs to be done. take a look, and if you don't mind I will use this forum to conduct updates as to the site. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Sorry but i see no link to a site in these posts. I would be interested in following the progress and if and when I have something to add, would do so.
