My latest track called Popcorn is done and ready for your enjoyment. It features a new complete texture set and several new bins. It also has a new style train to look for. The pod has 4 tracks. A rally, 2 circuits and a rumble. Check it out at:

Hey there Sir James,
I really admire your tracks and am looking forward to seeing the new one, but I'm having a problem getting it. The java menu on your site isn't loading for me (and a few others). Is there any chance of uploading to KC's or the MTMG site? Thanks in advance for your help. Image

I Want that popcorn! (extra butter, please)

I too have had problems at times accessing java menus. I just close the browser, open a new one and go back. That's worked so far. But it's a hassle. Although I haven't had any problems with the menu I'm using at my site. None the less, I hate them sites and I'll be pulling it out there tonite. Probably match the side menu, just text and graphics. Thanks for the input.

Now, I had trouble running the track. I normally don't have the stock trucks podded. But I had to pod them to run these tracks, even though I have all th estock pods extracted. Any ideas as to why?

I was getting a bad texture size error for bigfoot1.raw.

Thanks, Sir James for redoing the menu at your site for us java-impaired folks. Thanks also to you and Phin for springing to action and making "Popcorn" available last night. This is one slick track! Image
Thanks again,
Bean

An excellent set of tracks. The road textures are great, you literally cannot see the join! And thanks for sharing your stuff with us SJ. The info you gave about creating the terrain was really interesting and inspired me to experiment a little myself (see "an experiment" in the Traxx section of this board). Back to the track: I got caught out a few times whilst squinting at the direction clues in the rally.. but that'll just mean more practice on my part! I liked the figure 8 and the oval tracks, tho' I haven't tried the rumble out yet. The new "train" is great! Heehee, I WANTED to buy some popcorn! Of the textures, I thought the rock tex's were 1st class - though I thought the transfer from rock to snow a little er, unconvincing . Maybe if Guitar Bill updates Traxx one day he will give us more than 9 squares for transitions. Maybe I am getting out of my depth here and just don't know how to use this utility to full advantage. The racing line, well I'll leave that up to the racers to assess. For my part, I found a few sections unexpectedly awkward to handle, but I got a feeling that this is probably to keep you on your toes and use yer brakes when necessary. The new models are nothing less than perfect and Winterkill's buildings fit in with the landscape and layout as though they were made for the job. This is a great Pod worth downloading for any single one of the 4 courses.
I know there has been a lot of discussion about where this game is going in the light of the upcoming 4x4 Evolution, but as long as there are guys like Sir James out there improving on what TRI provided in the first place, I think this is one game that will be around for a long time to come.
I'd give this package 4 and a half on KC's scale.... OK 4 and 3 quarters! Image

This is THE BEST track I have seen in a long time. I'm big on textures and these were just the greatest, not a misalignment any where. Awsome job, and I hope to see more very soon!
