* RAM: 32MB.

ooh, this thing is a little piggie.

* Windows XP systems the PowerChute Personal Edition installer enables hibernation by default

My power settings don't work right now, I hope this doesn't make it worse. I could handle stand by but I don't much care for hibernation.

* M. Symantec's Norton SystemWorks (2000, 2001 or 2002) issues:
* N. Compatibility issues with Symantec's Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition:
* We do not recommend that you have both of these applications installed

I'm glad I don't use those, but it's pretty selfish of them to hog the system.

* use Microsoft Internet Explorer as your default browser.

APC need to hire programmers.

PS. LOL, scat, I fixed your link and you fixed it again ;-)

LOL, thanks Phin. I couldn't get that link to hide under the word "this" to save me.

No big deal. I thought it was kinda funny, actually. When I first did it, I thought, I wonder if he's going to try and fix that now without refreshing the page. Then, yep, sure enough, hehe. And for future reference, if it matters....

Same as on your forum.

This is what I meant to post. I thought that was the way it was supposed to look. You're right, I didn't hit refresh. I thought I did something wrong when I was trying to put the link behind the word.

[ update ]

The power backup has worked fine so far. I lost count after about a dozen power spikes/brown outs.

Just by way of follow up, I'll bet this thing has saved over a hundred reboots and shutdowns in the time I've had it. Should've done it long long long ago.

[thanx]

Caused by what? Are the local power grids that bad or is it mostly weather related? Not that it matters, but man if it were that bad here i'd invest in generating my own power.
