This first demo is called "Cuttin' Corners" and is like a little test, to test your corner cutting skills.

Keys are easy enough; just drive with the arrow keys and exit with ESC.

Note: Variety Racing is made completely by me. The gray car comes from a demo of Newton Game Dynamics. Newton Game Dynamics is the physics engine that powers objects (of which only the car and its tires exist currently :) ) in this game. I created this demo in 3D GameStudio by Conitec (http://www.3dgamestudio.com).

Here's the program. Just go to the EXE in the zip. After it extracts, go to the EXE in the new folder (I think it's something like "variety_tracks.exe" or something).

The package is missing logolite.pcx. A quick fix to get the program working is to make a copy of palette.pcx and rename it to logolite.pcx.

Well Mat, it runs well, and looks fine, but your vehicular physics appear to be very messed up.

Nice work so far. :)

The link worked for me. perhaps it was down when you tried.

I'll post comments on the game after I finish downloading and try it....Looking forward to seeing what you have come up with .... 8)

Sorry about the problems, guys.

I'm new to game uploading and such, and I don't know about certain things...

WAIT! Do you have DirectX 9.0c? It requires that version.

Oh, and I'll try to correct the "broken link" problem.

About the "funny car physics" thing - what seems to be the trouble?

Here you go. Place the contents of this ZIP in the Variety Racing Cuttin' Corners folder.

"Hmmmm" what, bro? Trying to say something?

As I stated, I clicked the link, and the file downloaded. I didn't have to copy & paste anything myself. i've been busy though, and still haven't tried the demo yet.

I believe Geocities limits how much can be downloaded during a certain period from websites. I suspect you first tried when the allotment was used up. Usually in that case, you wait an hour and try again, or try late at night.
