Well I have been on DSL late July '04 and still cannot keep an account with the Zone. I have tried to create accounts but the Zone just wont acknowledge the email or password.

Now Allegiance, a game that uses .NET accounts, works for me. But then again its not a part of Microsoft Zone.

Well, Im tired trying to figure out this crap which means I will no longer be in MTM2 around this time of the year. Unless, you all know of some other place that hosts MTM2?

There aren't very many ppl there, but Gamespy hosts MTM2. I've got DSL too, and I haven't had any problems Kruzr. Hope you get it figured out.

Strange that you get no acknowledgment...

It's possible that their replies to you are getting bounced back by your email provider. We get a lot of those when replying to queries from Vales members and potential members, most who say they are having log-in/registration problems.

I've replied to several who complain that they registered but never got a password sent to them, only to have my reply bounced back to me along with a FAILURE TO DELIVER message. No mystery as to why they didn't get their password.......It was sent to them, but was blocked by THEIR email host.

HOTMAIL is a real problem-child in this arena, but there are other email providers that reject some contact-form replies from us. I wonder if this could be the cause in your case?

I remember getting email to verify the accounts and clicking on the link to confirm. Its just that when I try to return, like a day later, it gives me the problem.

I will check out gamespy see how they are.

Kruzr, the only reason I mentioned Gamespy is because, back when the Nitro room was getting flooded so bad that it was crashing, a few of us went over to Gamespy. The Zone is still way more popular than Gamespy, it was just an alternative at the time.

Maybe you could try getting a Yahoo account and using that email addy as your login. I haven't had any problem going that route so far.

Here's a link to some chat about these sorts of problems.

http://mtm2.com/~bbs/messages/7845.html

Can't reply to it - since the forum had trouble - but the info is still valid.

Thanx Phin but I finally got an account now before reading that message. It wasnt a firewall issue, i think. If it were I wouldnt be able to play Allegiance and that requires the DX ports to be opened/forwarded.

This new account seems to be working. Done nothing at my end either. The original account, if its mine since I havent used it like 10 months, still wont accept email and/or password.

So from now own I will be calling myself IB_Kruzr

Should be ready to starting racing again next week or so. Cya there.

Here I am, sitting in the Nitro and Tourny rooms at 10.30pm EST and no one can see my messages in lobby. Asked for help from a 'plus" and he/she just fooling around with me.

Guess my problems with the Zone still remain. But hey at least it will let me log in with same account.

Wish I could say what I really want to say but I most likey get banned form the forums.

This is really odd. Just a few days ago I played AOE w/o any problems, now problems again. Sheesh!
