I am a democrat, and I would like to hear what others have to say about the convention, here are my thoughts.

Algore's speech was nothing I would expect it would be. He did mention Florida more than I expected but the speech was great. People are now remembering why so many people supported Algore back in 2000.

Jimmy Carter's speech was complete garbage. As a democrat I even say this. How DARE he say what he said about North Korea. When Clinton was president he went to North Korea and came back and told Clinton he had it all under control and not to worry about it. But now Carter criticizes Bush that North Korea has nuclear weapons. How dare he say that.

I'm not really into politics, but I do live in Mass. The whole convention is overboard, closing 93, bringing staties from ME, NH and MA to Boston, ect...

Today on the radio I heard a guy call in and mentioned a small bomb threat that occured earlier in the week and that because he mentioned bomb on a cell phone, they pulled him over and searched his car and bags because they were monitering cell phone conversations.

You posted the same topic at KC's, and it got shut down.

Knock it off, no one here wants to discuss politics in an MTM2 forum.

Man, it's hard to be nice about this...

It is. No point to this really. It's just like the good ol' battle between Bigfoot and Grave Digger. Some like Foot, some like Digger. Same with this. Different views will be expressed and all this will turn to is an unnecessary argument because we dont agree on who should be the next president.

If your so interested, find out what other people think somewhere else. this forum is for MTM2, Nothing more, nothing less.

The convention is nothing, just a big phoney infomercial. 100% grade-A BS hype in grotesque proportion (republican & democrat). Anyone who bases their decision on this is foolish and should seek the real facts from non biased news sources, not this hollywood crud.

> Carter criticizes Bush...

That's all the proof anyone with a clue should need to prove my point.

I don't think I resent KingCobra's interest in what's going on, but truth be told I really don't know what you all are talking about. And no, please don't enlighten me. It bears no relevence to me, and the little that might is so far beyond my control it doesn't matter anyway.

KingCobra, if this stuff is important to you, and it seems like it is, then perhaps you can find other forums and discussion groups that specifically deal with news and current events. I think you'll get much more signficant responses and replies. Maybe something of interest can be found in these searches. But have a look around. Maybe people are in fact interested and up to date on the issues. Just not many here.

Conventional wisdom from Malibu350! Wow. So incredibly true and right on. You have wielded the Mallet Of Understanding very adeptly here Mal.

Take no offense KingCobra, this place is peaceful and people just want to keep it that way.

Kerry said something tonight that I thought was completely ridiculous and outrageous (in regard to the Constitution being exploited for political purposes), and I could write a fair bit about it, but I'm sure this isn't the place to do it.

yea i used to watch the Daily Show a lot. i still kinda do. but the show has become SSSOOOOooo biased, its rediculous. but it doesnt even compare to the BBC, which is claimed by many fans to tell the truth over American news. but i feel that biased news, whether it be democratic, republican, or any other kind of in-favor party, is liable to be lie-able at least sometimes ;)

Trust me, you don't want me to chime in on this subject.

I hate politics, yes... I hate it. Don't get me started.

Let it go.
