This is a little off topic, but not much since when someone says "Monster Truck" this is what comes to mind for me...

I was surfing around on a big rig site, and came across these photos that blew my mind.

This happened in Australia in 1999, the truck was coming around a corner, and that really big rock in the back shifted. It was so heavy, that it bent the frame on the truck, and it was stuck in that position, and they never did get it fixed and ended up cutting the truck up for scrap.

Pretty amazing, I always thought those things were indestructable.

Man, those are some big trucks, eh? What gets me is rather than fall off, or roll the truck, the frame bent. That's one for the books.

I thought you could drop one of those off a bridge, and it'll bounce.

Pretty amazing, sorry for posting at both places Phin, but in case not all people visit both, I hit both.

The one I think is the weirdest is the fact that they had to use a ladder, to reach the ladder just to get into it.

I'm surprised that they would place a large heavy boulder like that on top of the load, rather than place it in the bottom of the bed and throw the rest of dirt/rocks over it. I wonder if the crane/loader operator took some grief for that move. Write-off one multi-million dollar dumptruck...

I noticed that at the other forum, it was mentioned that whoever released the photos was canned. The company name must have been mentioned with or in the snapshots. I've seen a lot of early airline accident photos where the airline's name was almost immediately painted over for the very same reason....gotta keep the bad publicity down.
