Well this is probably a dumb question but I have just built my first "rep" track and am real proud of it and don't wanna mess it up. So what I wanna do is make a straight line comp-raceable version of it but after I write the pod of it it will ask me to save changes to ****.txx. Now if I click yes will I lose the original track. I also wrote the second pod with a different name. Basically I'm sort of making a racing and freestyle version of the same track.

When you create your first track, save the pod and txx using one name. When you create the second track based on the first, you have to change the in-game name so the two won't conflict, then you can save the second pod and txx with a new name. When you're done, if you want to put both tracks in the same pod, you can merge them using podmate.

It is important that you change the in-game name to avoid conflicts.

Perhaps a dumb comment but by no mean to be taken for an insult bud. I strongly suggest you show the racing version in the beta room before releasing it. If you're proud of it as you stated it would be a bugger if we found shortcuts that ruins your work after it's released.

Not many shortcuts in a drag, Jump. But you're right. Beta testing is always a good idea.

lol i confused racing and dragging i guess. sry there. the word racing trigered the perception of a circuit or a rally. I have to agree that drag is a form of racing.
