There's another M/T game, Monster Truck Rumble, that I got at Walmart for $4.50. I liked the Rally Monster truck. What did I do? Simple. Photoshop. FlyRawGUI. Binedit. Tracked2. C-POD. MTM2.

Get the picture? I converted it from MTR to MTM2. I looks quite nice. I may upload it sometime.

I'm curious too...I didn't think the models were so available in that game.

I'm curious as to what format the model is myself, since Binedit only handles Wavefront and BIN models.

BINs belong to TRI, who didn't make monster truck rumble, and OBJ models have no textures.

I'd like you to back up your words and upload it, that we may see it.

Get the picture? Talk is just talk...show us the model please.

Binedit also opens 3ds, which does have mapping. And even if he used obj, does't mean he didn't map 'em while binedit was open. But yes, I wouldn't mind seeing what he's up to. C'mon Tarres, give us a peek.

All right.

The fact is, the only thing out of MTR that I used was the texture! By retexturing BigDOGGe's red fiberglass Chevy and adding a bed, I was able to nearly create the truck accurately. There's only one problem: the body isn't quite the right shape.

Further behind the curtains, we see that the wheels are stock tires retextured with MTR ones. I have recently switched my common truck tires to the MT ones from Evo.

The axles, you can say easily, are exactly this as compared to MTR's axles:

T-O-T-A-L-L-Y I-N-C-O-R-R-E-C-T.

But that sets up to still be a pretty good truck.

Someday I may make a utility that will convert these trucks and more.

Let's hope so.

Uh-huh....

Same response.....

May we see the truck?

May we download it?

The REAL fact is, it's easy to say I did this or I did that, but please back it up with something physical.....

Hmmmm...I can't find it...did you upload yet? (you did say "go ahead", so I assumed it was available now)

NOTE to PHIN:

Under NAME SORT, I set the sort to MAKERS, and the page demanded that I set the letter, so I set it to "T", but the page still sorted by truck name...is that correct? How do I sort by maker correctly?

I know there's another sort window with a MAKER box to check (searcher), but then what is the NAME SORT/MAKER feature for?

Yes. Sort by year defaults to 03. There is no default for letters. Which letter would we default to?

> but the page still sorted by truck name...

Actually, it did sort by maker name... scroll down and you'll see.... except I think some makers ended up with a space character as the first part of the name. I'll look into fixing those up. Shouldn't be hard, I hope.

> I know there's another sort window with a MAKER box to check (searcher), but then what is the NAME SORT/MAKER feature for?

Three variations. One by year, one by letter, one by your own choosing - the last one does not have ordering options, tho if you type them in manually, it should work. Compare

http://mtm2.com/~trucks/trucks.cgi?sear ... t&truck=on

http://mtm2.com/~trucks/trucks.cgi?sear ... &order=asc

But, as you've found, the space (however it got in there) is skewing the results. I'll do a backup, run some tests, then take a shot at a fix. I'll let you know.

[ edit ] I think you'll find it much better now, bigdogge.

re: tarres' truck. I think he's not ready yet. Sounds like it's on its way tho.

Sorry, I forgot to upload it yesterday. It was taking too long so I cancelled it and forgot to start again. Tomorrow for sure.

I'm sorry too......sorry to say I no longer believe you.

It only takes a few minute to upload a truck ZIP, so I'm forced to assume that you did NOT have thre truck already converted as claimed (later changed to fully texture remapped). You could have uploaded it in nearly the time it took to type the several posts you made in this thread poseponing the upload.

Your original claim:
Quote:
Simple. Photoshop. FlyRawGUI. Binedit. Tracked2. C-POD. MTM2.

Get the picture? I converted it from MTR to MTM2. It looks quite nice. I may upload it sometime.

The constant delays tell me that you are trying to figure out how to properly remap the body, as you claimed you already had done (a skill that takes time to learn), or you are having a friend or someone else do it for you.....I can't see any other good reason for taking so many days to zip and upload a trucj file, even a large one.

Prove me wrong if I am, but I have to go with my instincts for now....

Sorry. But I 100% promise that I will upload it Friday, even in the evening. You see, I was so busy with other things, I barely had a minute to spare. Maybe I'll sneak outa bed tonight, even, and upload it. Will that make you happy?

It is possible to get the textures. Where do you think I got the Flames from that I used on Inferno Rage 2.

http://www.mtm2.com/~trucks/trucks.cgi? ... 2&truck=on

I got them from Monster Truck Rumble. They were on the Ford truck. I just did some re-sizeing and a little mapping, and poof. Done,,lol :D
