ok, i got mtm2 working at school. hehe.
The way i finaly did it was to unistall mtm2 and then to install a smaller version to a temp folder. Then i copied the temp folder to my usb flash drive. Then at school all i have to do is copy that folder on my usb drive to the H: (a network drive on the server that each kid has a folder on) drive.
That way each person who want to play mtm2 has their own copy on the server instead of the local machine.
Mtm2 is slow to load over the network but once u have it loaded into the ram of the local wrokstation it works judt fine.

So anyway back to the LAN party:
Yesterday after school there was a theater tech party (building the sets, working on lights and sound etc.) and we were there from 2pm to 10pm. It was much fun. After dinner (pizza) me and three guys sneaked into one of the computer labs (they left the door to one of the adjoining rooms unlocked, lol) and we played a 20 lap race on c98. It was great.

oh, it was odd, we had to connect by tcp/ip. and instead of ip address we had to put in a strange thing: HS-112-18.mytown.k12.mystate.us lol. i got that from 'net config workstation' a nice dos command hehe. tells the local name and ip etc. of the local machine.

Just thought i'd share a nice story.

Playing over a LAN is great. Virtually zero lag... and you get to smack the guy next to you for running ya off the road.

Yup, Played my son here with latency around 6. T'was great, where you see the other truck is actually where it is. You can engage in very close races without getting much lag kick either.

THAT"S the new hardware item we need for gaming...A monitor with a built-in mechanical arm that slaps newbies and idiots for doing stupid things (You deleted required DLL files?......WHACK!)
