heh heh, relax we take MC, AE, Visa, Cash, wooden nickles, etc etc etc. lol (I am j/k so put the guns down)

this thing is getting closer to finaly seeing some nice changes, but still needs a bit more tweaking before I can send it out for testing.

allow me to show a few features...

support for multiple windows, views of choice.
BinEdit 1
you'll notice a few additional menu's,
Edit, which so far only has the undo, redo functions
and Window, which just has the usual, New, tile horz, tile vert, close, close all, etc.

also the "Delete Face" tool bar button has been replaced with a "Show Only 3D View" button, and the undo redo buttons were added as well.

As suggested by WK (ten months ago, thank you for your patience sir :) we will see a new mapping window
BinEdit 2

complete with a resizable window...

I told rich, why stop there? I'm not the only half blind user that needs pixels the size of half dollars to get things to line up :) ... so a zoom feature has been added
BinEdit 3
and yes you can literaly zoom in far enough to make a single pixel fill the screen.

...also when you move a vert point the original location will remain marked with a green dot.
BinEdit 4

to move around a magnified raw image, it's left click to grab it then just mause it around where you want it.

to move the vertice group, it's left click plus shift key.

to move around a vertice group to scale, it's left click plus Ctrl key.

to move a single vert, it's the same, just left click and move it.

...notice the "preview" checkbox? this is something he did on his own (as he did with the multiple window support) This is very handy indeed, I mean you can actually see the mapping alignment/missalignment on the model as you are mapping it :).

Preferences have seen some minor changes as well
BinEdit 5
the default face type is Shiney mtm2, and you have the option to toggle the "not centered" warning on and off.

====
the shading problem D2S brought up will be adressed as are more features than I mentioned above... I just can't stand to keep this to myself any longer :)

would it be difficult to add a mouse function in there that can select faces when clicked, or jump to faces when clicked,

if u could make a jump to face when its clicked function then u could just use the N to rotate through the vertexes in that face so a mouse vertex selector wouldn't be need to go with it unless u wanted to add it

That's one of the things we are working on, a point-and-click vert and face select. at this point I cannot say for sure if it will be included in the next version but I can say it will be adressed and implemented in time.

You have "Move only selected verts"
But one that I need a lot it "Scale only selected verts"

Sounds like a farley simple thing to do which is why i suggest it.

Great to have a "show only 3d view" button.

hey and whata bout support of 512x512 textures for non MTM2 peeps?

Holey moley...

You know I was prepared to tear a strip off you for even suggesting a monthly user fee... but this, this is looking commercial strength. Professional enough that I almost *would* consider paying for it. Almost Image

Outstanding work! I can't wait to sully it with my dirty little paws for beta testing Image

(You realise you're making me a helluva lot of work in updates for my BINedit site... Image

one that I need a lot it "Scale only selected verts"

that's in and functioning, left click + Shift key

hey and whata bout support of 512x512 textures for non MTM2...

Image BinEdit supports additional 128x128, 512x512, and 1024x1024 textures sizes... these will come in handy for some phuture phile phormat support.

You realise you're making me a helluva lot of work in updates for my BINedit site

Holey moley is right. Sounds great!

I know this has been a long time coming, with lots invested, but I know it will be worth it, and much used if all of the proposed stuff makes it in.

$10.00 a month... hahehe.

"helluva lot of work in updates" ...heehee.

She's beautiful, Mal. Can't wait to try her out *nudge nudge*. Couple other suggestions...Maybe a "Delete Selected Verticles", and "Delete Selected Faces" options?. This would be useful when trying to get parts off of an old truck that have stored vertex and face selections. You already got your hands full I see, so maybe in later additions. For now, Later :). Oh and maybe, and "Invert Selection" option? hehe...

>>This would be useful when trying to get parts off of an old truck

In that case, how about a 'save selected group'?

>>and "Invert Selection" option?

Yea, that'd be a good one too.

Would it be possible to make the source of light NOT be “part” of the environment but to have it shining into the environment at a fixed location. This way you would have equal light regardless of what serface or angle you were working on.

Holy Coolness,

my favourite 3d editor is growing up. (I still make all my models with it, how'bout that)

Keep up the good work mates!
