Okay, if I remember correctly one didnt need to have someone's custom truck mounted in order to see it. But now that seems to have change. Is my memory going bad or did the FixMore.pod do something to MTM2 to change this?

Yes.

bite your tongue [nyuk]

You have to have the truck mounted or you won't see it. Instead you'll see the first trk file in your list, usually bearfoot.... or in my case something I'm usually working on, then I wonder how in the world somebody else got my truck, lol.

Let me simplify for my fellow idiots (Phineus for Dummies...sounds like a best-seller to me) *tease*

The game 1st looks for the custom truck pod the other player is using online...if it doesn't find it, then it looks for the first .TRK file in your POD.INI list.

Normally, that will be Bearfoot, as it's the first truck in the stock TRUCK2.POD file (that pod contains all the stock trrucks, and comes with the game CD).

When you add new trucks, they always go to the bottom of the POD.INI list, so the bearfoot default truck is never changed.

BUT...

If you place a custom truck POD above the TRUCK2.POD in the pod.ini file, then it will be the default truck the game will use online for displaying opponent's custom trucks you haven't installed , rather than displaying Bearfoot.

I don't think a new default truck was placed in any of the fixall pods, BUT....

".... or in my case something I'm usually working on"

Is Phineus thinking what I'm thinking?....maybe........I'll shut up and wait and see what he's up to down in his hidden laboratory beneath the ol' MTMG castle........pleased to meet you....Dr. Frankenstein, I presume?

I'd buy a copy.

You don't think correctly. No trks in fix pods.

>....Dr. Frankenstein, I presume?

No life yet. But if progress continues, I hope lightning will strike.

Lol.....if everyone had broadband, then D/Ling a truck would take seconds, and one wouldn't need to modify MTM2.....it would be a nice feature for future games tho (don't say MTM3 please!) [;)]

I won't have it until they bring the price down.....not up (some providers 'round here went from $39 to $49 per month last year).
