>>white, is just an opinion, relax.
I'm sorry, but sometimes i get upset over things that are small to others. Music is just a huge passion of mine, so sometimes i take it over the top.
>>that's called elitistm, and that's the reason why im not a metalhead.
Good, i can't stand how hard headed they are sometimes.
>>If i was responsable for calling em nu metal Im sorry, i didnt know they were progressive/tech metal. But it is just a mistake you know, whats the big problem if I tagged em as nu metal, Is nu metal less music or less metal or something? not really. It was just a mistake.
Numetal, to me, is like labeling something as the next culture fad that will die within a year. Tool is one of the leaders in music, and a lot of today's bands credit tool as their influences, especially Maynard's vocals.
>>I'm a wikipedian and I gotta say that Wikipedia is not very very reliable, but its ok.
They're generally very accurate with bands, especially big bands, because there are fans hardcore enough to point out the flaws and demand change.
>>Tool has been around for 18+ years so they obviously have a very big fan base and are very well known. This isn't just some new kid pop phenomenon.
We know... now lol
Just taking me back to my earlier point, Tool is one of the leaders in what we hear in a lot of today's music. So in a way, talking down on tool is like somebody talking down on metallica or whatever band you could relate it to. It's just really saddening to see people act like they're a bunch of nobodies when they're one of the most influential bands of the 90's.
I guess being that this is more of a metal thread, you guys could relate to older tool better. I'm probably just wasting my time now, but here are a couple older songs,
