Track Name	: Derailed
Version	: 1.0 (released)
Author	: Oliver Pieper

A new track by the author of Unreal.
(and of lots of utilities 8-) )

Imagine a pack of Monster Trucks roaring
through a Railroad Station, thundering
through a tunnel to climb the stairs to
the platforms, passing diesel locomotives
and smashing through glass doors. This expert
level track is tightly packed fun for
drivers who have absolute control over their
trucks.

Derailed features
* innovative track layout
* custom textures
* custom sounds
  (smashing glass, idling train engine, barrel)
* CUSTOM MODELS!
* fully implemented scenery detail levels
* computer trucks that finish the race...

Now to the negative aspects... 8-)
Derailed is a very complex track. Even on
my P200 with a Monster 3D, the Complex Scenery
Level can cause the frame rate to approach
values of 10. This is not because of the models,
but because of the heavy use of the ground box
layer (the building and the platforms).

The building texture looks a little dull
if you don't have a 3D accelerator card.
There are fine variations in the color
that are not displayed in the 256 color
screen mode.

The track is EXTREMELY difficult for the computer
trucks. I'm not yet satisfied with their performance.
If I find a way to improve it, I will release a
new version of Derailed.
Limit the number to three or four. This will
greatly reduce their crashs.

Feel free to email any comments and suggestions
you might have. Or put it on the MTM Mailing List,
if you think it is of general interest.

Happy Truckin'!
