PinSane by Pinwzrd: fixed couse segments

Post by Third_Day »

I fixed the couse segment to PinSane track by PinWzrd so that the truck can finish the track in less than 4 min. I tried email him to see if he would like to check it out and also to see if it can be reuploaded so others can enjoy his track with the computers as competition. Let me know if anyone know how to get a hold of the maker of this track.

Did you fix the checkpoints too so they finish at the proper place? Anyway, I haven't heard from Pinwiz in over a year, so I don't know what he's up to. I'd really like to see an updated version of this track. It would be worth it.

No I did not fix the cp/finish line but I did get a hold of Pinwzrd so I will ask him to or see if he would like me to do it for him. Great track though.

Well hey, since you're in the mood to do maintenance on an old classic, how about fixing those trees where that shortcut to cp 4 is? Those things need serious work!! They should still be set to collide, but you shouldn't hit part of the model when you're 3ft to the left or right of the dang things. Hehe

Still, this is an awesome track - hard to believe it was his first.

Hehe...that short may be hard cope & u should'nt really hit anything but the real bits of the tree, but it makes it challenging & risky to take the cut hehe

I know you shouldn't "really" hit anything, GB, but you do. And what you hit is part of the bin you can't see. Try running the track, you'll see. If you hit the tree itself that's your own fault, and I know most have adapted and adjusted to the flawed bins on that portion of the track, but hey...if someone's gonna take it apart to erect repairs, why not fix that too since it's a problem.

it is nice to see there are more fans of this track than just me I will try to make the repares if Pinwzrd agree. He thought the change to the couse segments were a good Idea. So I think he will agree to more. If you know of more changes let me know. Thanks

This track has many fans. Racers of team SLO gather in the night at the fire place and worship this track.

WOW is all I can say! Cant believe after 2 long years that people are still playing my very 1st Track "PinSane" (Yes its been so long I forgot how to make the "S". I'll be popping into the zone in a day or so and become more active in the MTM2 scene.

Look for my return shortly. BTW....I just reinstalled MTM2 today and will be looking at the changes made hopefully sunday.

Just resigned onto the zone today and downloaded all the appropriate goodies to play MTM2 and test out the mods to the track. I like the changes made to the track but have yet to see the improvement in the computer truck finishing times. I'll play it a few more times and see. If someone would like to do a graphics overhaul of the track just let me know. I feel its the only thing that is keeping this track from being a "10" type track.

If you're referring to the "Copey Rating" system, maybe it'll take more than visual improvements to push this one up to a "10".

Hehehe--just messin with ya, bud! Image Actually I think it should be left as is...I mean, aside from the problems that have been addressed. This track is a classic, and it more than stands on its own merits without anyone trying to "glamourize" it. In the end it's your call, however. Just thought I'd throw in my take on it. Image

Okie I'll skip the graphic enhancements altogether. Since it was my very first track and is already consider'd by many to be a classic.

If someone can get the computer trucks to finish the race so they are somewhat competive please go ahead with the work and forward to me when its ready for approval. I appreciate everyones feedback on Pin§ane. Looking forward to playing MTM2 with ye all again after a 2+year hiatus!

OFF TOPIC: I'm in the process of getting the TEAM SLO (Always podded Tracks)
