Editing track textures.

Post by Roadknight »

I'm trying to edit the floor textures in the RCA dome drag, but whenever I click on the floor the texture I've selected won't paste onto the tracks :?

Any suggestions?

Do you have the "paint mode" checked on the far right side of the traxx window?

Yes, it's checked, and width and height are set to 1.
Or is it just not possible to edit a complete tracks textures?

If you can change a model, you can edit the texture. In the texture box, make sure you have the texture selected that you want to paint.

Are you trying to take the entire texture and paste it somewhere else? If so, you can't copy and paste into a new track, you have to load the textures and place them one by one.

If you're trying to copy it and paste it somewhere else on the track, then you can hold down shift(i think you have to uncheck paint mode) and select one corner and select the opposite corner to copy the entire texture.

If you save the area as a 'pattern' you can paste into a new track and traxx will load the textures for you ;-)

How do you copy the area and save it as a pattern?

Under the view tab click on patterns so the box pops up(where you open the textures/models windows). Highlight the area of the track you want, copy it, then paste it in the patterns window and save it.

How do you paste it into the new track? The "paste area" option is greyed out.
