Though a stock truck in MTM2, it's safe to say that several years have passed without any significant replicas being produced of the ultimate "Patrick Chassis" monster, the personal ride of the man who churns out top notch racing chassis like clockwork for some of the most competitive trucks out there.

Thankfully, ONaN has changed all that with a fantastic replica of the new 2007 edition of the famed Samson truck. Just the second replica he has attempted (the first being the Black Label Society Blessed Hellride truck he put out at the end of 2003), ONaN is much more well known for his pack work, most notably (for this reviewer) the MTM2 Go-Kart pack. Nonetheless, his attention to detail is fantastic. The preview picture says it all. Every inch of the truck, from the great-looking tire treads to the awesome photo-texturing job of the beautiful new body, looks immaculate. This is without question the best replica to come out in quite sometime, and I enjoy driving it to the point that I plan on competing with it at the PPRL Fall Madness event on November 24th. The only minor beef that I have with the download is the lack of a readme, but I'm sure if he sees this post he'll talk about what it took to put this beast together. Again, just excellent work, ONaN.

Verdict: Thumbs way up.

8) Thank you all... it was alot of work.... it's not perfect but i did what i could with what was at my fingertips. 8) Samson has always been my favorite truck, something biblical i think, in the power it represents . A fitting tribute to the master of monster truck building Dan Patrick 8)

well, OK, lets start with the frame.

THAT is NOT a Patrick chassis, not even CLOSE

yours is like a morphidited Racesource chassis

also, if you look, Patrick still runs a cantilever suspension setup in the rear and the front shocks are angled Back to Front

the axles arent very accurate either

the Paint, while accurate, isnt very sharp

and this truck sits a fair bit too high

thank you paul for your insight .. It wasn't intended to be a "Perfect Replica" but more of a personal ride by my own preferences and also because of the limitations of the game the truck would look silly with all the extra detail you snodly spew..
OLD_NICKatNITE

LESS is sometimes More with mtm2 ... tried to keep the vert count down which keeps the frame rate up and helps prevent game errors lol...
