MTM2 Remembers 2007 ~ Guitar Bill month of racing...

Week 2 of the Guitar Bill Memorial Tournaments saw us on the track Cheyenne Crossing, a track that was around the era of Bill's mtm time and no doubt one he would have raced on.

11 racers had an enjoyable tournament and are looking forward to the next two weeks of mystery tracks. These are both NEW tracks and will be great racing

RA was a clear winner again this week, with a 3-way race-off for 2nd, 3rd & 4th between D2S, Ultramax and CLC. Scatter & Slowpoke involved in a race-off to choose 5th & 6th on this track today.

Top 3 on the track today were:

1st: Rocketalces
2nd: Drive2Survive
3rd: SLO_CLC

The "clear winner" had a clearly lucky win.

In the direct confrontation with Ultramax in round 2 he was clearly faster.
Alas, his wheel fell apart during the final round 4 [bump]. We made 2 restarts but he wasn't able to get it working properly for a full racing distance.

I was even more lucky because I had a very bad start in the first attempt of that race. Without the restart it would have been difficult to catch up with D2S who was very competitive that day.

But as we keep saying: don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

It is a race after all, and these things happen to us all at some time. Lucky or not this week, you are a great competitor and we know when you are in there is sure to be come close tight racing.

Well done to all that participated.

I see Charles back around online, we all look forward to you back racing the tournaments again Charles and I am sure when you get back into the swing of things, it wont be long before you are as competitive as before.

Guitar Bill Memorial Tournaments week 3.

Our track was a Mystery one called Sandy Morgan's Gulch by Harold Dix. This track was made especially by Phineus for our Guitar Bill racing month and dedicated to Guitar Bill.

There was no practice on this track before the start which made for some interesting racing on this sometimes tight passing track.

After round 1 a special event was hosted, which saw the racers breaking into two rooms and searching for a couple of things hidden on the track. One was GB's trademark of Biff and the second was Dr Scrotes pet cow 'Hilary'.

We then continued with rounds 2 to 4. Clear 1st & 2nd with a big race-off room for 3rd placing. This was fantastic racing by everyone on this track without any kind of practice.

Top 3 on the track today were:

1st: Drive2Survive
2nd: FCW_EB
3rd: Rocketalces

But Congradulations Electric_Bug, way to go, finally got a nice spot on the podium. Now just sucker punch D2S and take the top (j/k j/k j/k)

FINAL WEEK GUITAR BILL MEMORIAL TOURNAMENTS 2007

Fantastic racing today at week 4 of the GB Memorial Tournaments, it was great to see so many turn out to honour this man. Points for these tournaments will be tallied and on the page soon along with overall winners banners for this tournament.

We had an amazing amount of fun today on our Mystery Track GuitarBillVille by Malibu350, and it was as great to have this track
maker run with us today as it was having Phineus (the maker of the previous week's track) pop in that week too. You both did an amazing job on those tracks for us, thank you very much.

Congratulations to not only the overall placegetters today but also to those who joined in trying to find Hillary and enjoyed her antics lol, those extra points are yours towards the end of year pointscore.

DONT FORGET: Are you chasing those extra points? There is still time to get those screen shots in, you have until Midnight Tuesday 27th to get them to me at mail@shadowprincess.com. Find Biffas hideout, screen shot it and then find Biffa. You have to admit this is an amazing monument! A few emails in already so dont miss out on those sort after points!
