Oh, I see what you mean now. I thought it was going to be a vote/poll type thing. This could actually be like an article that covers releases like sports does plays of the week/month, or something. I need to give this some extra thought.

Well it was going to be a poll but I decided that it would be easier if it was just discussion. We could have this as a thread that has all kinds of track talk like new releases, replays of online races, tourney results etc.

Oops, you were too quick for me. I need to organize my thoughts about this sort of thing. At first glance, this is how I'd do 'my' overview.

[ edit - see above ]

Or something like that anyway.

Well then folks. I must say that Slo-Hot Shoes Muddd Slide is as nice a track as Ive seen sence the last Expo. Grant you theres a few that have been made sence the Expo that are great too. But this is an awesome track, that MUDDD is just unreal. What a twist. I truly love a fast track and this track gives you that and more.
Another par of track makers to watch for are NIR_Ashes & NIR_ CrashCart. When these guys deside to get together and make some Team NIR tracks, watch out my friends. And yes, you can call it a suggestion. Seems we could use some more TEAM tracks. They are both great track makers on there own. But a Team project would be FAB.
May I also say that some of the other tracks are fun too. Not over looking any body. ALL tracks can be a blast to run. Myself, ITS ALL ABOUT SPEED. The more the marry.
Nice Idea Crash.

O' yes, I sould say Estes Park is kool too

2. Estes Park Rally is also very fun. not very challenging, but fun.

Hey Ashes, how about we do try a joint track? Could do two islands in our different styles. So has anyone got any track lap times or lines for various circuits? Any upcoming releases you might want to give previews for? Anything like that would be appreciated.

Nice to see people's favourite tracks. I may tally up the mentions for various tracks.

I think you should. The island idea sounds good too.

No new releases (yet) or laps times, lol. But I just found this which looks pretty snazzy. Amazing the goodies that can get overlooked.

ONAN's NASCAR tracks are quite nice, but as I am a big fan of detail in tracks, I find it doesn't have the eye-candy I like. Great for racing and the banking is smooth so it has more good points than bad.

As for the joint track, we could do something like ZS Rally but with different styles.

Btw, as a teaser for you, I'm just starting work on Miami Homesteads track so you can look out for it soon. :)

Currently, Miami is about half-way to finished. I have done the track textures, the banking, some stands, the pit lane and a bit of the road course. :)

Im in for it, but as im working now, I dont have much spare time left. I could use something that is hidden in a finished track that hopefully no1 has founded yet (but im sure you all know what I mean)

I can expand it a lil. How are we goin to transfer the txx files?

E-mail? We could each do our textures and terrain with one starting and then sending the txx to the other. Then we'd do models and then AI line and CPs.

hey you guys...

you mean like conjoining 2 tracks together into one track?
because oops did something like that by using 2 terrain files and joining them together. he did a remake of mtm2's Voodoo Island conjoined with Sidewinder Canyon. except he only kept 1 or 2 of the original models and made his own models and ground textures.

sounds like a good idea :P

I haven't ignored this thread by any means, and I very much like the idea Cr@$h came up with. It's just this thing they call "summer" has really kept me hopping, so I haven't had time to d/l the tracks and run em all before posting my thoughts about which ones stood out. I should be able to get to it soon since I'm supposed to have the weekend off. Definitely looking forward to it, that's for sure! :)
