...but I'm not dead.
Although it may seem like it.
Working on a new, ultra-realistic truck. I wish this was my Expo 03 project, I could have won.
I've already got the headlight model and grill model done. Textures will come last.
The headlight model is 3D with a reflector and the light itself, where the texture (rectangular) will fit, then a semitransparent shield over that. Tough to explain, but you'll see.
It's going to be way more detailed than 4x4 Delivery ("simple compared to today's replica standards") and yet, I'll try to keep the vert count below 3000, maybe even below 2000. I don't think it could go lower than that.
Not made yet...

Definitely shoot for sub-2000, although I myself have made a few mud-boggers that broke the 2800 vertix mark. By all means try not to break 3000.
Can't wait to see it. Wanna preview some snapshots of what you have so far?

Soon as I can. I can't right now because I only have Internet access on Thursday (today) but that's not at home, where I'm working on it. I'll show ya next Thursday. I'll probably be further, too.
The headlights are already modeled (three dimensional with a semitransparent lens!) as well as the front grill.
I am currently working on the back flap (seen just behind the cab). It will be 3D as well, attached.
