Bridges, how to drive on them?

Post by TurnToAshes »

I read the topic about the tunnels, I dunno if its the same... But I came this far. I downloaded a bridge and put the model into my track. I tried to drive on it but I bang on the box. If I would lower the bow, the bridge wouldnt be realistic anymore. I tried to set it as default, gave it a mass, no collide, sign, ramp,... dunno how to do it. I can put it no colide and add blocks under it but then I could remove the model isnt it.

Please help me out, tyvm

Dude so like, set the bridge model to no collide then insert an object box set to collide and sized to match the driving surface. If the bridge has railings on the sides you can use the same method to add impact area's there as well.

it's really reALLY HOT HERE [bump]

here's an example...

The only downside to this method is that the bot trucks will fall though unless your truck is within close proximity. There's an alternate way to give bridge support and at the same time support the bots but it involves creating a second invisible model.
