Looks great but I reserve judgment until its final and someone tells me how it plays, I have been burned to many times with hype and broken promises.
Their is also another new Monster Turck Game coming to the PS2 and it was built using the Monster Jam game engine, its called Monster 4x4 Masters of Metal. Monster Jam was ok as a budget game so maybe this one will improve on it, hopefully.

Are racing games on the PC extinct?
I haven't played anything good since Sports Car GT. I bought Pro Race Driver and have regretted it ever since, stinkie poo of a game. The only thing noteworthy in the last 5 years has been Nascar Racing 2003 and its the last one from that franchise.
And thats m y thought ;)

Still alive and rumored to be somewhere in oregon?
looks like the equivelent of evo lite track building or a box of lego's... to me it would wear out real fast without the ability to create new objects and textures, at least that's the way it appears, correct me if i'm wrong as I didn't read every single detail... looks nice tho. :o)
oh, and btw someone tell those guys that it is not "new and innovative" as they claim.. lol

Very good PC racing games in last 5 years:
Need for Speed: Porsche (the best there is, only Gran Turismo beats this game but that's for PS)
Grand Prix 3
Grand Prix 4
Collin McRae Rally 2
Collin McRae Rally 3 (but the stoopid X-Box Port doesn't have any multiplayer bla bla... it gets lost in memories way to quickly)
Mercedes Benz World Racing - great game... very still and boring scenery. Even i can do better then that. But the way the cars handle is superb! Almost beats NFS Porsche. This is the racing game i currently play.
Nascar Racing 2003 (which you mentioned it)
and hopefully
Need For Speed: Underground - i soooo hope they freakin learned their lesson after the stupid NFS Hot Pursuit 2 arcade game. T'was such a dissapointment BUT it was miles better then Pro Race Driver.

Looks interesting. But then again so did NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and Pro Race Driver.
Hmmmm... this game reminds me of "Stunts". Hmmm, wait... this one looks very familiar. I know they are doing a remake of Stunts, with todays technology but i wonder... i forgot the name of the remake. I wonder if it's this one or not...

Yeah i wanna go on a little flooding rampage over here (sue me Phinny).
Screamer 4x4 is a very cool and pretty realistic off-roading game. The only "prob" of the game is that it's not head-to-head racing, only in multiplayer. Single player it's a career mode and there you just race by yourself against time.

Yeah thanks Fila - you can go now lol. I don't know - it sounds interesting, but I'm to the point where the only thing that could replace MTM 2 is a game exactly like this one with improved multiplayer characteristics (less errors/quirks) and better graphics. That's it - everything else should remain exactly the same. Hey, I'm easy lol.

Yeah yeah....
Btw, i finally got the new furniture... well half of it

I just tried the demo of Live for Speed (LFS)
http://lfs.racesimcentral.com/
It has been quite a while since a new racing game got me hooked.
Except for MTM2, GPL and Rally Trophy, everything else was quickly removed from my hard drive mainly because of the horribly simplistic physics (among others GP3, Colin McRae 2, NfS, Rally Championship 2002 etc).
LFS may interest MTM2 racers because
it was specifically designed for multiplayer (although it has a pretty good single player mode)
it is not a pure asphalt racer but also features rally cross tracks
