Ajust wthe wheel sensitivity in the mtm2 options menu..and yes, you are too used to keyboard driving....give it time ....playing some Sports Car GT, NFS, or Viper Racing wouldn't hurt either (hint hint)

Overall they are much better cause you have more of a choice, rather than just right or left u can choose to go a bit to the right or a bit to the left without tapping the keys.

>>>Ajust wthe wheel sensitivity in the mtm2 options menu

well thats another problem im having to. when i pougged in the wheel, XP automatically found the drivers for the wheel. Leadfoot works awesome with the wheel, np's. tried mtm2. kept dropping the wheel in favor of the keyboard. put in the software that came with the wheel and the i could use it with some tweaking.

>>> rather than just right or left u can choose to go a bit to the right or a bit to the left without tapping the keys.

well thats actually what i was posting about. when i turn, its like im pressing the keys. jsut goes off in a wierd dirrection. dont matter how much or how little i turn.

I don't have a wheel. But just to state the obvious, have you calibrated it in control panel too? Then the game? And, btw, my joystick throttle does the same thing in evo - no cure.

well i think i figured it out. in mtm2, running through the Wingman Profiler(ne1 that has it will know what im talking bout), it runns the wheel through the keyboard, as a keybaord. L when i turn, its as if im pushing the keyboard buttons.

so i jsut have to tweek the sensitivety in the profiler and get used to it from there.

Do they even make analog wheels anymore? I don't see anything like my Thrustmaster Nascar Pro wheel at Frys anymore..it's probably 5-6 years old, and still works fine (had to replace the pedal springs though). Plus, mine uses th old gameport...

(I don't know how old ths page is - these may no longer be available)

The closest thing they have at Thrustmaster now is a USB digital model:

I got a wheel when I bought this game, a wheel came with it. But I haven't used it in years. I race with the keyboard, and it's been just fine. I used to use it on all my driving games, especially Test Drive 5, now THAT was fun.

I feel that I can kick more tail with the keyboard in MTM2.
Personal Preference.

I shoulda went back to Win98 when I formatted, so I could play TD5 again, I love that game. For some reason, TD5 won't work on my current pc. Either it's my Vid Card, or Win ME that won't let it.

Congrats Leg, I think you'll like it.

Sorry bro..I had to do some "custom" repair work with springs from my local hardware store....I didn't want the same thing to break again...

...That was years ago, and it still works... ;)

Thrustmaster Tech Support (toll free, btw) - (877) 484-5536.

I'm a wheel guy myself (360 Modena Pro by Thrustmaster). Hehe Rep Fan is an exception with how well he handles keys...but still, track for track a controller allows for greater flexibililty in terms of maneuvering and cornering. Image

I have the LogiTech Wingman Formula GP racing wheel and it works fine in MTM2. Also, I am not using the profiler - disable the profiler and see it that helps ya.

I got same chit. Works like a charm although it could have benefited from dedicated drivers.

what set of drivers do u guys have?
i have the newest ones.. 4.20

without the profiler, mtm2 keeps dropping the wheel for the keyboard. even after i install the drivers and profiler. whether its off on on.

Perhaps it's time to re-install MTM2 NOW that you have new drivers installed.....I mean a complete un-install....remove, delete remaining folders, power-down, boot up, then re-install the game....

I rarely had luck with logictech digital controllers myself....only the analog ones from them work flawlessly for me.....
